My wife and I stayed at this hotel 4th July as we were going to Hampden to see Eagles concert. I had a bit of trouble finding the place but hindsight has shown me to update my sat nav maps !
The hotel is located in a very nice setting with flower beds all around and excellent friendly service throughout.
The only gripe I have is the price of beer and wine is too expensive but there is no competition nearby so that perhaps explains that.
We slept extremely well in a most comfortable bed - bliss.
The pool and gym facilities attached were of excellent standard also.
Breakfast was plentiful of choice and help yourself to as much as you want. Cooked food or cereals or croissants etc.
There were tea and coffee making facility in the room.
I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family and shall certainly return if I'm back in the area. Keep up the good work.
P.S. the hotel has a contract with local taxi firm Ecko Taxis and their drivers were very friendly and informative of the area, thanks.

East Kilbride
Jun 12, 2009 | Trip type: Family

I was married on the 6th June, in East Kilbride, we had the reception at the Holiday Inn East Kilbride. The night before I stayed in a twin room with my best man, my younger brother (usher no1) had flown in and stayed the Friday/Saturday in a larger double room.

I found the receptionist helpful and friendly on check in.

The twin room was very nice, spacious and modern, no real complaints, a little worn I thought but for the price very nice indeed. We used the Leisure facilites that afternoon, and agin in the morning it helped with my nerves!!!!. Pool, steam room, sauna, and an excellent jacuzzi. All clean modern and well laid out. The changing areas are also very good. There is a small gym which looked well kitted out although small. On offer are Treatments and fitness classes which looked well attended. Its worth notiing that this is a fitness club with members as well as hotel residents.
Breakfast in the morning was excellent, and plenty of choice. good quick service

The reception for the wedding was top notch, food here was excellent the service was fast efficiaent and friendly with the staff getting into the wedding mood with us, and even taking part in a joke played on me by the best Man. I can't thank the staff here enough for helping make our day so special.

As part of our package we stayed in the main 'honeymoon' suite, which was large and well laid out with stunning views ovwer the Clyde vally and down to the Erskine Bridge in the far distance. We were served a champagne breakfast in the morning which was excellent too!.

A lot of our friends and family stayed here during our wedding and apart from one minor blip everyone seemed to enjoyed their stay, and used the pool. Its worth noting that this is a fairly busy hotel, lots of business and coach trips. But I would stay here again!.

Having recently returned from a break in Scotland I thought I would write a review on the hotel we stayed in. The Holiday Inn East Kilbride is in a quiet location and is excellent for a quiet relaxing break away from it all. The reception staff and female manager were all extremely helpful and friendly and provided me with lots of helpful information on places to visit etc. The hotel has an excellent leisure club with pool, jacuzzi etc. The food in the restaurant is very good (especially for hotel food!!) . The hotel was very clean and service with excellent. I have stayed at alot of Holiday Inns/Express hotels and find this hotel to be one of the best I've stayed with the staff being very knowledgeable and pleasant. I'd definately recommend this hotel for a nice weekend leisure break - good value for money.

Stayed on a 2 night deal ,(dinner included on any night) with my daughter and 2 grandchildren aged 4 and 6. We upgraded to an executive room for £25 online.
On arrival we were warmly greeted and we booked for dinner for 7.30pm and proceeded to our room. A spacious size even with a fold out double bed for the kids. A huge comfortable Queen bed.
We arrived at the restaurant on time, unfortunately our table wasn't ready even though there were only 2 tables occupied. We walked away towards the bar and the waitress shouted that they had a table.
I wish we had made it to the bar as we had to ask for our drinks 40 mins later. We were told they were very busy but the dinning room was half empty.
The meal was really good but very slow service. We had to ask for buns for our soup yet other guests were being served. There was no interaction at all.The waitresses seemed uninterested in their customers.
Went to the pool with the kids, 1st class. 15 metre pool. sauna, steamroom, excellent changing rooms and clean.
After a good nights sleep we had a lovely cooked breakfast.
We noticed a billboard at the reception advertising the benefits of upgrading your room- dressing gown & slippers, chocolate bars, toiletries, bottled water, juice. We had none of these. We enquired at reception to be told we were not in the computer as being upgraded. After assuring the receptionist we upgraded on line and not on arrival we were told the upgrades would be sent to our room.
10 mins later a lady arrived with a dressing gown, we had to ask for another for my daughter. She returned with another. OMG it was filthy. By this point my patience was wearing thin. I marched downstairs and told the receptionist that the service was unacceptable. He was very apologetic and rectified the situation. We eventually received the other upgraded goodies.
On Sat nite we took a taxi to the train station £5.20 and got the train into Glasgow £3.75 return for the four of us with a family railcard.
We had a brilliant weekend but this hotel requires a servicing upgrade.

Thank you for your review and found your room to spacious and the hotel facilities and breakfast to be of a high standard.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the shortcomings you experienced with the levels of service you received in certain areas. These issues will be addressed with both the housekeeping and restaurant managers to determine how this happened.

I do hope that these points did not spoil an otherwise enjoyable weekend and that should you be returning to the area in the future you will consider returning to the hotel.

Kind regards

From the moment I checked in to when I checked out the staff were friendly and extremley helpful. The Reception staff were wonderful, the best I have came across.

The food was good unusal for a Hotel.

The leisure club was very good and had lots to do. We liked the view from the pool. Very relaxing.

The room was a bit tired and worn but spacious. Could be doing with getting done up.

Would return.
