“Great for legoland and Windsor”

Stayed here for 2 nights in September with our 5 year old and 3 month old as we were going to legoland. Upon arrival we had a very warm welcome and my daughter received a goodie bag and lolly pop which I thought was a nice touch. On arriving at our room we were very pleased it was spacious, clean with a lovely size modern bathroom. We ate from the buffet the first night which was very nice with a good selection and the children had their own separate buffet also, breakfast was also lovely with a large choice of foods again cereal, toast , fruit, yoghurt, cakes, cooked breakfast, a very good choice. My husband and daughter also used the swimming pool at the hotel which hey enjoyed and he said the facilities were clean. Also there is a sainsburys a five minute walk away incase you forget anything. Overall we were extremely pleased with the hilton Bracknell and would not hesitate to use it again if we were up in that area.

Great hotel - clean and great service! Had the pamper package Spa treat. The food was amazing and service was really good. Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing break. I had the Back and Shoulder massage and felt so relaxed afterwards. Breakfast and Dinner was amazing

Hotel was welcoming and room was clean and quiet despite it's B road location. Evening meal and breakfast were very good value and inclusive spa experience was excellent. Conveniently placed for sight-seeing in Windsor or Ascot racecourse.

Very good value for Money. Evening Meal was excellent. Spa area could have done with more relaxing chairs but not much room for them! The sunday morning was very busy with families and not a good relaxing swim.

We recently spent the night at the Hilton Bracknell. First impressions are not great if you have to make your way pass a group of smokers who choose to stand right in front of the main door as we did. We also had a handful of rubbish from the car with us (from the journey) assuming there would be rubbish bins in the lobby but they weren't. Thankfully the bloke from behind the bar took it from us when asked.

There was a little bit of a queue when we arrived but once the second receptionist finished on the phone she helped out seeing to customers. Service started excellently but was let down significantly when we arrived in the room and discovered there was no soap - at the point when someone really needed the soap! There was simply an empty soap box? Ok no big deal - we thought we would call housekeeping assured that someone would bring us some? Wrong - after 5 minutes of trying to phone - no one answered. We thought, at least someone will answer at reception? Wrong again, after 10 minutes of trying and NO ONE picking up, my wife had no choice but to get re-dressed and go down to reception in person. The gentleman at reception was apologetic for having no soap in the room and stated this was housekeeping's fault and they had done it before. He made no comment when asked if it was the hotel's policy to IGNORE calls to reception from guests? Come on, Hilton! Guests shouldn't have to be going to reception from the top floor at a time when they are trying to put children to bed to get soap so they can wash their hands after using the toilet!

In general the room was to the Hilton standard, half decent fixtures, fittings, good selection of free tea and coffee and even a fridge. It was relatively clean but the empty soap box, limescale around the shower and some grease marks around the light switches indicates a quick-flick clean. The shower was brilliant though in terms of size, water pressure and it feature of being both walk-in and like a car-wash style! 3 shower heads, one overhead and one either side of the shower.

Wi-Fi is free IF you are a BT customer as it is provided by BT OpenZone via it being one of their HotSpots. Hotel rooms are over 4 floors and we were on the 4th. I have to say the Wi-Fi signal was not that great and hardly ever made a decent connection for more than a minute. The 3G signal on my mobile wasn't great either (with Virgin mobile). If the internet is going to be important for you during your stay you may want to ask for a lower floor.



I found the bed ok (a hard mattress) but it gave my wife back ache. We were disappointed that some of the TV channels were not working at the time when we wanted to watch them. I am not talking about pay-for-view here, they of course work fine; I am talking about BBC1. We didn't see the point in phone reception to be ignored and just decided to go to sleep instead.

Breakfast was included in our rate and as always, it was excellent. Full selection of hot cooked items to pastries, hams and fruit. The breakfast staff were brilliant too.

Our faith in the service was slightly restored on check-out as the lady on check-out saw our children were not happy and were given a Hilton's little teddy bear each. Yes Mr little bear is a great bit of marketing but it also cheered up the children a treat.

The location was ideal for us as 20 minutes drive from Legoland. Just next door to the hotel is a Sainsbury's superstore which was great to get some snacks at an affordable price. It also has some of the cheapest petrol prices in the area. Parking was free but busy (the Gym is open to the public and the hotel was popular with conference guests).

Had it not been for the less than average service for an issue one would really not expect to encounter at a Hilton this stay would have been very good.

Checking in late at night I found a bathtowel stuffed into my WC?
The night porter was as confused as I was.
Several attempts to get a feather free pillow failed so I had to use two bathtowels instead, so all in all not a comfortable stay.
Why don't the chairs fit under the desk? Instead they stick out into the room, so you bump into them when you pass by.
Light fittings in dining room full of dead flies.
White wine served in hot glasses, wine opened without us being offered the chance to see the label, so did not see the seal removed.
A real example of how the british can turn something good into a shambles.
No paper in ladies WC.
Basically staffed by people with little or no training, or who have had training and ignored it.

My partner and 2 sons stayed here on a lego land trip, 2nd visit for us and it was just as good as the 1st time. Lovely modern room, fantastic shower, quick check in, nice pool, decent breakfast and helpful staff.
What more can you ask for????
Great value at £145 for 4 of us inc tickets
We will return :)))
