“Blissful break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

The most beautiful and serene place to stay with everything you could want or need in a beachside resort. The rooms are beautifully kept and well designed. The food was amazing - both in restaurant and room service. The day spa was amazing with wonderful therapists and treatments. The concierge staff were wonderful. Overall this is the most wonderful and beautiful resort - cannot recommend it highliy enough.

I am still here after three stunning nights but couldn't wait to write a review. This place is simply perfect. My sister and I needed a well deserved break and The Byron certainly lives up the reputation of other trip advisor reviewers. Set amongst rainforest it's an easy walk down to the beach for a morning stroll. The board walk through the rainforest and lillipads ensures you slip seamlessly into a state of bliss within hours of arrival.

The besides the helpful staff, paperbarks, rainforest walks and a sleepy time by the pool......my favourite part of the hotel is the birds. Never in all my years have I awoken to such an array of bird life. At night the sounds coming in from the rainforest transported us to a jungle like environment.
Definitely grab a car from the airport as the short drives into the hinterland are definitely part of the byron experience. The rooms at the resort are huge and take full advantage of sea breezes with verandas on each end of the rooms adding various sitting areas for privacy.
This is my first and very long awaited trip I to the area and I will definitely return to stay at this resort to explore some more. I cannot recommend this resort more highly and look forward to another visit.

Room Tip: We stayed in Everglades in an upstairs room which was lovely to be a little further away from the po...

Stayed at the Byron at Byron for a weekend away, the staff for extremely welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The buffet breakfast was fantastic - the bircher muesli & eggs benedict was some of the best I've had.

The resort is about 10 minutes from the centre of town, so if your staying at the resort for a couple of days I would suggest getting a car just for ease of travelling around.

My second visit to The Byron. the resort was booked out for the first three days we were in Byron Bay recently, so wife and I had to stay elsewhere. Slipped in for a one nighter after we dropped by during a walk to see if there was a room available. This meant a whole new level of appreciation of the quality the resort offers by comparison to the previous three days at another nearby "resort". Having stayed here four years ago, some elements of it are looking a little tired, but this is a hyper critical observation.

My wife loved the 90 mins (yes 90 mins) complimentary yoga session in the morning. The pool remains a delight and restaurant food was tasty enough and well presented. Walking through the rainforest contained in the resort and through to Tallows Beach is always a pleasure. The Lotus pools are beautiful and it all hangs together well to create a pervasive sense of calm.

We had a 2 night stay here for a work function in the hotel conference centre

1. rooms are amazing. they are positioned naturally within the rainforest. there is a front and back screened deck which provides wonderful privacy and yet connection with the amazing plants only a few metres away.
the multi panelled walls make the space very user friendly and we were surprised to see a fully equipped little kitchen and laundry in our room. wonderful

2. the conference facilities were great.
restaurant was very nice for diner and breakfast.

would have loved to stay longer

We are just finishing up our stay at the beautiful byron at byron. We had the most peaceful, relaxing and joyful time here.
The staff are wonderful and always happy to have a chat.
I highly recommend getting a treatment at the day spa. It was the perfect start to our 10th wedding anniversary. Make sure you pack your swimmers to use the hot spa and sauna after your treatment.
The buffet breakfast is great with lots to chose from.
Just walking the boardwalks is relaxing enough. But take the beautiful 10 minute walk to the beach and unwind fully.

Hire a bike and ride into the town of byron bay and see the many gorgeous shops and beautiful beach.

The rooms are lovely. So open and nature inspired. The shower is amazing with its stainless floor. And the big bath is perfect to relax to the sounds if nature around you. King size bed is super comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back!

Thank you.
