“An excellent little B&B in a beautiful spot, run by helpful and charming hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed in two upstairs rooms, which were comfortable and quiet, and separated from the common areas of the house by a common closed door, giving us our own living area. In general, the positioning of the B&B is spectacular with views to Pyramid Rock and a short walk down to Smith's Beach and the rugged coastal surrounds. It is also a centrally located jumping off point for all the activities on the Island, and Rachel and Helen generously shared their local knowledge and contacts to make our visit more enjoyable. We only stayed for two nights but we'll definitely return and next time we'll make sure we stay longer.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have beautiful views

We found this piece of paradise to recharge and rejuvinate whilst travelling on a road trip from Melbourne to Sydney. My Mum was celebrating a 'Big Birthday' so my sister and I joined her on a holiday of a lifetime from England, and this place made it exactly that.
The room (#1) was amazing- beautifully arranged so all 3 of us could stay together and with wrap around views of the ocean and scenery around us.
To sip champagne watching kangaroos and rabbits running around in the grassy area in front of the ocean views a few meters away made our trip even more memorable.
Breakfast was stunning, well worth the money. Freshly made croissants, fruit and yogurt, again beautifully presented.
We wandered around the property and again amazing views of Smiths Beach below greeted us, and a walk down to the beach was just great.
Thankyou Helen and Rachel, wonderful hosts, who went to every length to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed, even lending us warm blankets for the penguin parade which we needed in the chill of the evening as it was March.
This place is perfect for anyone- a romantic break, wedding, function, family get together- just make sure you find an excuse to stay here!
Great value for money considering the location, food and facilities.

Room Tip: Our room (#1) was perfect with wrap around ocean views and gorgeous comfy beds.

Stayed just the one night here to go and watch the penguin parade. Lovely little B&B with a great view over the clifftop to the bay below. Unfortunately when we were there it was incredibly windy, which made it a tad noisy, but that would have been the same wherever we were and not the fault of the proprietors at all. Actually the high winds and rain coming in from the bay below gave it a kind of isolated beauty. Room was lovely, big, airy and clean with a really comfy bed and linen. Breakfast in our room the next day at a table overlooking the waves crashing in below was really nice. Great location for the penguin parade as well just 10 minutes down the road. Helen the owner was really nice too, very helpful, made calls for us regarding the Sorrento ferry, evening meals etc., incredibly helpful, thank you.

Room Tip: Try the corner room for views down to the bay below.

In search for a beautiful B&B by the sea then look no further. I am a little late with this review as my partner and I stayed here on the 31st of January. I still think it only fair that I take the time to review as my host Helen and her family took the time to ensure that we had such a pleasant and comfortable stay.

The building is lovingly restored, the location is stunning and our room was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delightful in the dining room and the hospitality from our hosts was second to none. A welcome bottle of sparkling wine upon check-in was a lovely treat.

Our room was beautiful with all the comforts we expected and more. We particularly enjoyed the views over the ocean, a very comfortable bed and the general beach house feel that this accommodation provided.

Just a word of warning though, this place may make you question why you're not living by the seaside...

My husband and I recently got married at Clifftop this year. The location is perfect with fantastic views over the beach, fabulous rooms and very attentive service by Rachel and Helen. They were extremely helpful and very attentitive! Anything we needed, the helped with. It was a perfect weekend and all the guests raved about how beautiful Clifftop was. A massive thank you to Rachel and Helen for making our special day so spectacular and perfect! Highly recommend Clifftop for anyone out there looking for a wedding location by the beach!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to begin our anniversary trip driving from Melbourne to Sydney. The room was lovely, and Rachel and Helen were wonderful hosts. Instead of viewing the famous penguins from the standard platform, we took Helen's advice to upgrade to penguins plus program. Very worth the money, as we wouldn't have enjoyed the penguins at all otherwise. Would return happily.
