“Great hospitality!”

We are so overindulged by the hotel, giving myself and my wife a free room upgrade on arrival at the hotel and a complimentary wine shortly on settling into our very comfy room. I happen to share my wifes birthday which the reason for the short holiday, with one of hotel staff. (actually, we were sponsored by our children with the surprise holiday to Malta). We were further treated to another surprise complimentary birthday gift from the hotel admin!

The food was great! The breakfast actually made an impression, I get to choose what goes in my eggs before it's fried!

We were pampered, I must say.

You have a great hotel administration!

Well situated in the middle of a busy touristic environment, but also with a view to the sea.
Nice room, very clean, all facilities functioned perfectly, first class maintenance (not a trivial point).
Very good buffet, lots of choices for all tastes.
Extremely pleasant, helping staff, especially at the reception.
The only complaint (the reason for not giving it 5 stars) is that we arrived at dawn at 5 am and had to linger in the lobby (or go out for a stroll dead tired) till 14:00, when we actually got the room (we could get a room earlier for extra 200 euro); but I guess that is the management's policy, not the fault of the personnel.

First class stay in this massive hotel. One forgets that it is in central Paceville as it is very quiet and you cannot hear any noise from the inside. Excellent facilities and staff extremely polite and courteous.
Stayed at InterContinental for 1 night with my husband. Had a room on the 14th floor. The room was very modern and comfortable. It even had 2 double beds in it.
The Bathroom which had a seperate bath and shower was really cool, nice and comfy. Toiletries were really good and the towels were big, white and thick.
We were spoilt for choice during breakfast and dinner and compliments goes to the chef and his team.
I highly recomment this wonderful hotel and I am sure that one won't be disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit. Well done, Intercontinental. Keep up the good work! Thank you.

Stayed 5 nights for a conference. Clean and meets what I expect from intercontinental . The complimentary gym was really big (also open for non-guests) and with 10+ treadmills. Sauna and pool also included. My room was very warm and switching on the air conditioner didn't help, actually made it even worse.
Breakfast was ok, with made to order egg dishes. Many good restaurants within walking distance.

I spent 3 days in malta in winter for business trip so I did not have the opportunity to visit the town or the island .
the hotel : it complies with the level expected of such hotels.
more: near the sea . nice garden.food: good quality
good restaurants near the hotel.
particular thing about te hotel: the kindness and availability of the staff was outstanding.

We arrived at the hotel early hours of the morning, to be welcomed by a very nice gentleman on reception. We paid a bit extra and was upgraded to what was called an updated room looking out over the gardens.
The room was large with two very comfy beds but the furniture in the room was extremely well used. In fact my husband sat on the desk chair and it fell apart - he wasn't , we then had to report the broken chair to three different members of staff including the front desk before we got it changed. The tv in the room kept switching itself off sometimes every 5 minutes so we would have been unable to watch any of the films if we had wanted - and for 2 days out of the 3 we were staying it kept coming up with another room number. This again was reported a number of times but to no avail.
The room was cleaned every day to a good standard but there was no consistancy over renewal of tea, coffee and bathroom products. One day we were only left two milk pods but had four coffee sachets. Unfortunately and of no fault of the hotel, but the occupants of the room above ours were extremely noisy banging things and moving furniture at 6am aswell as when they came in during the day and all one evening. As it was our anniversary the front desk kindly sent up a bottle of sparkling wine and some petit fours free of charge which was a very nice gesture.
The breakfast which was included in our room price was excellent with a fantastic choice of both hot and cold items. We also had the buffet dinner on Saturday evening which was expensive but had wonderful choice and the food was outstanding.
Overall a good stay and no noise from the nearby paceville club and pub scene during our weekend stay.

Room Tip: Rule of thumb seems to be the higher the floor number and overlooking the gardens and pool are quiet...

I spent 3 nights here whilst on business on the delightful Island of Malta, fast becoming one of my favourite places in the world. My first impressions were that the Hotel was a bit tired, I guess that it was one of the first of the quality hotels built in the area. However, it certainly grew on me after a day or so, helped no end by the excellent and attentive service on display 24/7. Management should be proud of their staff, they really are top draw. My room was fine, typical of the Island it was large, well equipped and very clean. The view was over the pool area with the city in the background, being winter not much outside activity.

The Hotel is adjacent to the "interesting" and vibrant Paceville, but I did not notice any noise. A short walk to the excellent restaurants in Spinola Bay. It was mid-winter but still a pleasant change from an icy UK.

Breakfast was good, normal expansive buffet with anything you would want. Pleasant bar in the lobby for pre-dinner drinks. Malta has some excellent Hotels, the Intercontinental fits in nicely.

Room Tip: Take care with your room choice, an upgrade maybe wise, still very reasonably priced.
