“Amazing hotel with excellent service !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2010

Stayed in the Hilton Malta for the 2nd time in a Executive Plus room for 7 days .

We arrived around 22:00 at the hotel after a flight from Brussels with a taxi - there is a fixed price from around 20 euro . The check-in went very fast and we got almost immediately our room key . We booked an Executive Plus room with Sea view trough American Express so we received a beautiful " Inside Malta and Gozo " book, a gift check for the spa center and a free dinner for 3 persons ( You could choose everything even how many courses ) !

It was a long walk to our room, it is situated in the new block . It was a walk of 5 minutes !

Our room was very big and had a very good-looking and modern interior ! The bathroom had a very big round bath, a rain shower and two little round sinks ! From the bath you can open a curtain and look to the TV in the room .

We had 2 twin beds in our room and they had each a very handy reading light ! There was also a big LCD TV with a DVD player . There was also a water boiler and a sofa in the room . We had also a small terrace with a beautiful view on the sea and the indoor swimming pool .

There is also a new Business center with 4 computers, a printer and meeting tables available for Executive room . You can also use the mini bar , fruit and free bottles of water in the Business Lounge . There is no new Executive Lounge so you had to go to the old one , it can be sometimes overcrowded because there are no more rooms . That you can also see at the service and food, it can be that you haven't got a seat or that the food is empty ! There is also free WiFi in the Lounge.

We ate all in the Bottega del Vino restaurant because the Oceana wasn't open . We ate there very good ! The service was excellent and the manager was extremely friendly !

We reserved also for dinner in the Blue Elephant restaurant in the basement of the hotel . The decor is outstanding and the staff was extreme but extremely friendly ! I had never seen such a friendly staff in a restaurant ! We all took a Royal Thai Banquet menu and it was very very delicious ! After dinner we received some small elephants ! Certainly worth a visit !

The breakfast buffet in the Oceana Restaurant is outstanding ! There is so much choose , that you can't choose ! Delicious eggs are specialy made for you ! But the service isn't that good . Empty plates are not cleared always and it can take a while when your Hot Chocolate arrives !

We booked 2 tours via the Concierge ( Charles was extremely friendly ) .

- We booked a day trip to Gozo . The trip was very well organised and around 09:00 a private van picked us up and drove us to the Ferry Terminal . There we were divided into groups . Our Guide spoke German and Dutch . She was very friendly and helpful ! Our lunch was included but we didn't found it very good . It was a buffet with 2 kinds of meat and vegetables .

- And we booked also a tour with the sightseeing bus . It drove from St. Julians to Marsakloxs . It has an exterior and interior level . Earphones are included !

There are multiple outdoor pools, a jacuzzi and a beach club . But you can also use the indoor swimming pool if you want ! BUT for children there is a time limit, very ridicules if you have kids !

The Hilton is located in St. Julians near a bus station ( Nr. 62 to Valetta ) and many delicious restaurants like The Avenue !

When you come to Malta , go to the Hilton and ask for the new rooms !

Having spent 4 days in Malta, and visited other hotels in the proximity, I must say Hilton is the best hotel Malta can offer. Situated in St. Julian's, you can reach Valetta, Sliema by bus or taxi for a short while.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our group was upgraded to an executive room plus and a relaxation suite--both with access to the very well appointed and stocked executive lounge on the 9th floor. Both rooms were very modern and extremely spacious, and the bathroom sizes are huge as well. I think these rooms were recently refurbished hence the modern decor and lovely views of the bay.
The breakfast at the Oceana was average--standard breakfast buffet but the Blue Elephant Thai restaurant is excellent and is a must visit restaurant in the hotel.
Perhaps the only downside to this excellent hotel is the pool, beach and the watersports facilities. The pools are rather small , the beach is a rocky beach and the sports centre seems slightly underequipped. But of course there are lots of places in Malta (eg. Blue Lagoon) where you can enjoy sand white beaches and there are lots of alternative watersports offerings (especially scuba diving) widely available near the hotel if you do some research on the internet.
A truly excellent hotel and look no further to this hotel when thinking about visiting Malta.

Have just returned from our umpteenth visit to this lovely Island. We have stayed at various hotels and apartments in Malta, however, this was our first time at the Hilton and we were not disappointed.
From the moment we set foot inside this beautiful hotel, at 3am in the morning until the time we left some 7 days later we were treated the upmost amount of customer care from all members of staff. Nothing was too much trouble or inconvenience for anybody no matter what requests were made.
The hotel itself is immaculate and very clean. The rooms are cleaned each day to a very high standard and are very spacious and comfortable.
The numerous pools cater for all ages and sunbeds are in abundance. The pool staff will even set out umbrellas and beds for you if need be.
Breakfast at the Hilton is of a very high quality and caters for most peoples needs.
We dined at the Blue Elephant on reccomendation and this truly was an excellent experience, the food was plentful and wonderful.
If you fancy a cocktail or a late evening drink the Quarterdeck bar is a must. The deco and ambience are fitting for such an elegant but unpretentious hotel.
We will certainly be returning to this hotel on our next visit.

This is a beautiful hotel that offers a true 5 star experience for its guests. It's presentation is immaculate in every respect because there is such attention to detail. My daughter and I stayed in a sea/pool view twin room that was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant, cheerful and worked hard to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. Mario the Concierge, Rita in the breakfast restaurant and Yanika at the poolside bar were just superb. The hotel's location makes it easy to walk to nearby bars and restaurants.
Pool facilities are very good with plenty of sunbeds. Staff are even available to help with moving and opening of umbrellas. The poolside bar is run very efficiently. Unfortunately the water temperature in the pool was far too cold for comfort. Only the most hardy managed to get into the water.
The spa is truly magnificent. Wonderful surroundings and beautiful treatments. Total relaxation and an excellent standard of expertise.
The hotel is very busy - it caters for holiday guests and for local business and leisure events. This could be a source of irritation for some guests for example when there is an unexpected, very late and loud evening wedding party and when there are visitors using pool facilities that are supposed to be exclusive to guests.
However the positives far outweigh the tiny negatives. We absolutely loved this hotel - its prices are totally in line with a 5 star experience so expect to pay a bit more - its worth it.
We loved Malta. Lots to see and do. Friendly people. Good food - huge portions that can easily be shared. Lovely weather. We would love to return here and would definitely choose this hotel again.

My hat is off to the manager and wonderful staff at this wonderful hotel. I experienced nothing but the utmost professionalism and attention to detail from the front desk to the to the maintenance staff.

The hotel is modern and clean, with a great view of the ocean or the marina, depending on which side your room is on. Its location in St. Julian’s is ideal for the best in dining and entertainment. Buses are right around the corner to take you easily to Mdina, Valletta and other parts of the island.

Multiple swimming pools leave plenty of room for babies and young children to adults. Chairs were plentiful and one beach towel per guest was provided. In June the beach club opens, which provides two more adult pools and a small baby pool. Unfortunately the pools hours closed the pool somewhat early so there was not chance for a romantic late-night swim in a very well-lit pool.

Breakfast was awesome. I highly recommend that you get breakfast included because this buffet is not to be missed. Again, the same professional staff seats you and brings you coffee or tea immediately. Pancakes and waffles can be ordered. Eggs are made to order while you watch. Breads, fruit, yogurt, cereals, jams and cheeses are all laid out for you to enjoy. Of course, if you're British, the typical beans, and sausages are there too.

When we arrived, our room had two single beds. The staff promptly arrived to move the beds together and offered a complete mattress change. We declined since we couldn't tell after they moved them together. My wife and I both felt that the beds were very comfortable and we had good nights of sleep.

The hotel is centrally located to some of the best restaurants on the island (with scenic views to match), to a few within the hotel itself. We had pre-dinner drinks at the Quarterdeck Bar (overlooked the marina), which was romantic and relaxing.

I highly recommend this hotel.
