“Wonderful little guest house”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

As a frequent visitor to Malta I needed somewhere clean, simple and in a prime location to stay during my 10 day visit last summer. This little bed and breakfast was ideal, well priced with a welcoming feel, you really do feel like you are a guest in someones home not in a hotel!

Maria and her 2 great sons do a wonderful job in running the place, nothing seems like too much trouble to them. Happy to cook a nice, fresh, authentic Maltese meal in the evenings and very helpful with booking any excursions. The bar is also reasonably priced and the breakfast does the job.

The rooms are clean and simple, with good (free!) WiFi and a nice modern bathroom. There was no in room safe, but I always felt like all of my valuables were safe and secure and there was absolutely no danger that they would go missing.

I am sure i will be visiting this guest house again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

As a frequent visitor to Malta l have found a gem of a place in Green Grove its a family run guesthouse ,the rooms are clean ,facilities are excellent ,food be it a snack or a meal is of a high standard ,a very well stocked bar ,but what would you expect Maria the owner has a vast experience of the hotel trade she knows people comeback when they are satisfied ,she is complimented by her two sons who will make your stay a pleasure .The guesthouse is situated a short walk away from the hub of St Julian's ,it took me five minutes , at the bottom of the road are buses that will connect you to the whole of the island. A warning the Maltese don't believe in small portions and when you eat at the Green Grove they will not disappoint ,value for money and quality ,and of course a professional attitude makes this guesthouse a real jewel in the Malta crown .

if you are looking for a family run guesthouse, ideally situated in a quiet area just on the outskirts of Paceville, then look no further!
Maria and her two sons, loving run, what is probably the best guest house on the island. The bedrooms are well appointed and exceptionally clean. The highlight of our stay was the superb food that was served, using local fresh ingredients and prepared with passion by Mark.
The bar area is cosy and ideal for relaxing in after a hard day's sightseeing, enjoying a glass of the local wine or beer.
We look forward to our next trip to Green grove!

Exceptionally warm and friendly atmosphere and the location is excellent: the area is extremely quiet but very close to Paceville, with its fine restaurants, wine bars and other amenities. The bus stop is handy. We had a delicious traditional Maltese dinner… Very good value!

We arrived at this family run guest house to be met by the lovelist family who were happy to show us around and make us feel very welcome.

The Guest House was very clean and tidy and well presented with the room comprising of an excellent Air Conditioning unit, which believe me was very much needed.

The family ran through what was local to us, what sites to see and how to get to each desitnation, it just felt like no task was ever to big for them. They even helped out when my partner sun burnt his legs!!

We stayed on a breakfast basis only with evening meals an additional extra, the breakfast was continental, fresh and a vast amount on a daily basis, with plenty of English teas available. The evening meals are completely made from fresh all the sauces, choices of pasta and the tradditonal Rabbit dish!! All the food was fantastic, good quality and full of flavor, we ended up eating at the Guest House most nights.

Overall we were just made to feel welcome, the family sat and chatted with us when we sat outside. Their English was fantastic.

On leaving we had the dreaded check out at 11am but we did'nt fly until 1am the following morning. From previous experience I have always wanted to be teleported home, however we were given a safe place for our cases and access to showers, we werent made to feel like the people leaving. We made our last day another holiday day rather than the day your waiting to come home. We were sad it ended.

We plan next year to return, to the same place and the same room.

We just loved it!!

Despite I had booked with credit card, they asked me full advance payment...prior to see the room.
They put me below the stairs - very small window, very small bathroom (..smallest sink I've ever seen!).
My room was close to the shared bathroom...a nightmare.
Room was quite dirty and full of mosquitos.

If you necessarily want to go there, ask for a room at first floor.

Maria and her team (incl her 2 sons) will go at great length to make your stay an unforgettable one. The small B&B is conveniently situated in a residential area, within walking distance (10 min) of Bay street/Paceville center. The rooms are equipped with A/C and TV and ours had a private bathroom/shower.
There is no swimming pool, but the beach is around the corner (10 min walk) and one can take the bus to other beaches (busstop at 2 min).
Nice terrace outside with umbrella's, and though it is a B&B, there is a possibility to order snacks & drinks all day long.
We arrived by a pre-arranged taxi from the airport(the B&B booked it for us at the cost of 21 euro). The day we left, we vacated the room in time, but they offered us to use the shower before we had to leave for the airport in the afternoon. But the best is their personal attention. Really a gem, this B&B!
