“Not if you are over 25”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

I chose the place mainly for its location and it cheap price. I think sometimes I should pay bit more for a better place even if I go there only for sleep.

The hotel is on the main street where all the clubs are. As is a result is noisy 24 hours per day with the music of the clubs travelling through the concrete to the walls. You feel you 're in a night club all the time.

The room was nice, for some reason was given a triple room. Also clean, but the cleaners were banging doors and cleaning the rooms after nine. So if you haven't waken yet you 'll be waken by then. One of the days I was trying to have a lie in, they wake me told me since I was there they will not clean my room - lost my cleaning slot - but they gave me fresh towels instead. I think towels changed every day, a plus in the hotel.

Breakfast was served in a cafe across the road, very very basic and the same day after day. Basically cereals, slices of cheese and ham for sandwiches, few cheap jams and coffee or tea.

Wi-Fi was good in my room at seventh floor. But the noise of the street and the constant music never let you to relax. Add on that the young clients which often do not remember to keep quite in the corridor makes it a non relaxing place.

You get what you pay, a place to sleep in the hart of Pacevill, the clubbing area. If not for you, pay bit more and stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: Unless you are a party animal stay somewhere else...it is cheap for a noisy reason

If the rooms were as nice as the lobby it would be great. The hotel is pretty average. I was not very impressed by the room, I stayed alone but had two single beds. Only 1 socket in the room to share between the TV electric heater...plus then my laptop and phone charger. However I found the location to be very convenient and over all I did not have a bad stay.

Do not go to the Hotel Gorgianis if you want 5 star luxury! The hotel is basic, very clean but in a noisy part of Malta which has all the nightclubs, bars etc. The breakfast is basic and after ten days somewhat boring and it would have been nice if the bed sheets had been changed more than once a week, however towels were changed daily. Beds were comfortable and as we had a room at the back of the hotel we had no view from our balcony but the plus part was the club music was not so intrusive. However this hotel shines in one area that we have not found in our many travels and that is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Manwel, the night receptionist is of particular note and went to great lengths to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, even giving us his personal phone number should we have any problems whilst out and about. For this reason we would return and recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but don't have a view.

Gorgianis is situated in 'Party Central' which is excellent if you like to go clubbing; it is, however, somewhat noisy at night due to the clubs and partygoers. I mentioned this to the staff and was given a room in another wing (this was during low season).

The rooms are very clean, unpretentious but well maintained. The wifi connection, which is free, was very unstable in my room. The little west-facing balcony was a nice touch, but probably too hot in summer.

The receptionists are mostly very helpful and speak several languages. No room service. Breakfast is offered, no other meals. Lots of restaurants and fastfood places in the neighbourhood, though.

Busses to practically anywhere on the island available within walking distance (fares are very reasonable, too).

Room Tip: The left hand wing of the hotel is closest to the clubs and very noisy at night.

It was terrible thank god we only stayed 2 nights and were barely in the room.
As the other reviews say it isn't a hotel its somewhere to sleep.

Loud music was played into early hours of the morning.

Staff ignorant and unhelpful took us about 45 minutes just to get booked in, I complained about the room and asked to swap it, the manager did finally agree to this after I'd been ignored standing my ground for 10 minutes lol.

I cannot believe this is under Thomas Cook... Disgusting.. NOT recommended at all, avoid it!!.
