“Abandoned to our own devices”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

When we arrived we were told that there no outside tables and asked if we would be happy to take a seat indoors. We said yes and ushered in and left there with menus for half an hour while no one came near us until a younger waiter asked if we wanted still or sparkling. The water arrived about 15 mins later. When someone did eventually come to take our order we pointed out that we would like some wine. After selecting a red wine, the waiter came over with a bottle of Chenin blanc and basically accused my wife of ordering the wrong wine when she pointed out that she had ordered a merlot.

The food was decent but didn't have the wow factor to justify the price.

The waiter didn't ask if we wanted dessert or coffee after our main course. We felt abandoned. While a neighbouring table of Italians had several staff members attending to them, waiters seemed to look the other way while they passed our table.

The ambiance was livened up for a short time with some AC DC playing from the kitchen.

We'll definitely never be back.

“Overpriced average food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

This place is the worst kind of restaurant offering overpriced and very average food. Everyone at my table of six was disappointed. Save your money and eat elsewhere. Nice location with a view of the harbor and good service, however.

“Below my expectations & unless you have money to burn...do yourself a favor... just avoid!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Just after opening the menu i was struck by the prices. On average a pasta starter is 17 euros at the time of writing. The main course on average is 25euros. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and the orders were submitted. Complementary food is just excellent and i thought that we were in for an italian treat. The starters arrived.Having the habit to share food just for the taste i tried both tortelli with mortdella sauce and pasta ragu. Both of them were just ordinary and nothing special to justify the price tag. The main course followed fillet of fish and fillet of beef. They were good but again nothing to justify the price. At the end the millefoglie and the white chocolate cheesecake followed. The prices vary from 7-8 euros a piece. The millefoglie was just like a wedding sugar treat (nothing to do with what you are imagining... it was just below sandard) while the cheesecake was the best thing that was brought on the table, just awesome. The service was very good and very welcoming.

For two people having a starter , main course , sharing a half bottle of wine,1 big sparkling water and 2 desserts the bill will shoot up to above 115e. Definitely not worth it for what it offers unless you have money to burn. There are much better Italian restaurants around. For sure this goes in the list to avoid together with Divine (disaster) of Paceville.

“Worst restaurant in malta”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013 via mobile

Poor service, waiters seemed more interested in looking at their wine bottles than serving clients. The food was average and we waited 70 mins between the starter and main course. And oh, they mixed up the orders with some other table so one of us got our food 15 mins after the others. Don't bother going.

“Awful meal, never to go again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

My husband and I went for a meal on May 20, 2013. The whole meal was a disaster. I had the raw squid on pea puree and the squid was disgusting. My husband had the suckling pig that was burnt and dry and the cabbage was bland and cold. The only good news was that the potatoes were good.
As my main dish, I had the grilled calamari on smashed potatoes... everything was tasteless. Save your money and spent it elsewhere!
