For a birthday celebration what a lovely pub and setting at the riverside........... as long as you are not hungry because you will have at least 1 1/2 hours once they have taken your order which takes anything up to an hour. You will have a job drinking too much as well, as the staff shortage covers all areas. And once the food did turn up it the was lovely food apart from there was a party of 11 of us and we only had 9 dinners show up. Had to re-order the other 2 dinners again. Good job we have a sense of humour. It was so understaffed they were thrown in the deep end and there was no way they could give a good service to anyone. We did visit there a week earlier just to see if we liked the food and the staff could not do enough for us as it was a quiet night. The staff that was there was friendly and done their best and the food good, but it needs a serious look at employing more people to enable them to provide good service. Overall with a bottle of champers thrown in for my birthday, they did not charge us for the 2 very very late dinners and 20% off the bill we all came out of Faulty Towers happy.!!!!!!
