We were not sure what to expect, especially in terms of decor, but we were really happy with our room and stay. The antique furnishings were charming, not over the top, we had a small, modern en suite bathroom, and a kitchen nook with a fridge and small stove that let us fix our own breakfast. Adequate kitchen gear to fix a simple dinner, too, which could save a ton in Norway! A nice location close to central Larvik and the water, within walking distance of various sights. We found the host to be friendly and helpful, including pointing us to an excellent Indian restaurant just a few blocks away when we got in late and hungry. The courtyard is cute and it is quiet at night. We would recommend this place to anyone who does not need luxury or handholding. A good deal for Norway.
