“Good location. Lousy hotel.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

It was a huge relief that this hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the Vejle train station. After that, everything goes downhill. After breakfast, you are on your own if you want something to eat. We arrived around midnight and found it the front door of this big hotel locked. There was nobody in the reception area. We banged on the glass door for around 10 minutes in the freezing cold, yet the receptionist was nowhere to be found. We had to call the hotel for the receptionist to hustle out of the kitchen. Next day, I requested to refill my water bottle, one of the staff invited me into the kitchen to refill it myself in the dispenser. The following day, when my wife and I went in to do the same, we were reprimanded by two rude receptionists about loitering into the kitchen. Really? Its not like we were helping ourselves to a bottle of wine! The rooms are old, dated and have musty smell. Its the smell of a room not frequently used or cleaned, like the smell in an attic. Stay somewhere else.

I stayed in room 701 on Wednesday 15th August.Price DKK 881.88 which included a credit card fee of DKK 31.88 (A first in 23 years of business travel) The hotel looks shabby. The room: 1 of 3 coat hooks had been ripped off the wall .The second was loose. Only 1 coat hanger in the wardrobe although the receptionist efficiently brought me 3 more. No drawers in the room . No bed side lamp .The closest lamp did not work. Worse still was the hygiene. The bathroom had clean towels but a half used shampoo and old piece of soap was still in the shower. The fabric on chairs in the breakfast room were filthy , food stains were evident. I checked out after 1 night and a colleague booked me in the Munkebjerg , price DKK 790 .Far superior accomodation ,clean and the breafast was excellent ,although it was out of town.
This is the first time I have adandoned a hotel.

This hotel is in a great location if you travel by train and want to visit Legoland. It is only a 2-5 minute walk from the train station to the hotel and the bus stop, which takes you to Legoland. In fact the bus to Legoland stops next to the train station. Take the 143, which runs every 30min. to Legoland. Book the tickets for Legoland online, since you avoid the queues and get them cheaper. Reception at the hotel was so kind to print them for us, just had to email them to the reception.

The rooms at the hotel are usual for a hotel this size: TV, shower (no bath), alarm. The interior appears modern and reminds me a bit of Ikea. The hotel appears clean, but dusting wasn't the best, when I noticed the dust on the table in the room in e morning sunlight. The rooms don't seem to have aircon, since the room heats up when you close the windows. On the other hand, if you are a lite sleeper, you might not wanna open them due to the street noise.

The most disappointing was the breakfast, very blend buffet with not too much choice, but the usual: Different kinds of breads, some cheese, salami, jams, yoghurt, sausages, bacon, eggs, juices, coffee, tea, fruit, and cereals.

All in all a no fuss, decent hotel. I stayed here for two nights with my two boys to visit Legoland and thought it a good choice.

This is a modernized older hotel, well situated close to the city centre. Rooms are small; my was refurbished recently and was in good shape. It was clean, and had what you need.
There is only a breakfast restaurant in the hotel; the breakfast is quite ok. If you are hungry in between you have to find a meal somewhere else. Parking in the yard, good and free upon obtaining a coupon in the reception.
Staff is friendly. Generally this hotel fits business purposes; in my opinion not a holiday place.

This hotel is nice. It's a little odd in the design - particularly the hallways, but it will definitely make do for a trip to Vejle. The beds were comfortable (although we had two double beds pushed together). The bathrooms are really neat and the place was clean. Service was decent. Overall I'd recommend it.

As danish hotels go this was ok, have experienced worse and better on my travels. Rooms were basic but had all that we needed. Its quite a high building so there are elevators and there is also parking behind the hotel. Based in a central location in Vejle, it can be quite noisy at the front but we only stayed overnight to attend a wedding. Breakfast was buffet style and could not be faulted. Nice interior, typically modern and scandinavian. Would definately stay again if the need arrised.

The best thing about this hotel is the location - just over the road from the main walking street. The second best thing is the breakfast - great selection in a lovely big room with bacon and eggs too. The free wifi worked well. Parking was about a 5 minute walk away. If you arrive by car drive aound the back of the hotel where there is a large carpark area - once you check in you can put your validation card at the window of the car.
The only negative would be the fact that you have to call the porter to open the door at night.
