“Pleasant but bland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

What do you want from a hotel when on a business trip? Comfort, cleanliness and a quiet place to work in the evening. This hotel has everything you need for a pleasant stay. A big clean room - tad warm - and bathroom. Comfortable beds. A work surface and free WiFi. Small shop in reception. Close to city centre. Reasonable menu and bar. However, no refreshments in the room and there is a charge for room service. Good breakfast choice but it is a buffet so food can dry out. The new staff are very pleasant but previously had some miserable people, including front of house staff and managers. Service could be very slow. Things have now changed for the better. Overflow car parking a short walk away. Complaints? None, but it is little characterless and nothing really sets the hotel apart from other good business accommodation.

Room Tip: Some rooms overlook the main car park and this can get noisy at night if there are large parties sta...

As ever with Scandic; the style is a crisp clean Scandinavian one.
Heated bathroom floors and well fitted spacious bathrooms, many with a full bath.
High quality room furniture and picture windows make for bright clean modern rooms but retain a warm comfortable feel.
Free wifi throughout the hotel of course.
Parking is now free.
Lobby has free Internet PCs and printing.
Large restaurant and bar with superb menu.
The main shopping area is within a short walk and there is a good selection of shops, bars and cafes nearby.
I have stayed many times and the staff are always very attentive and helpful and all the rooms are superb. Highly recommended.

This is a great scandic, with more modern furnishings, probably one of the best I have stayed in.

The parking can be a nightmare, and no end of colleagues have ended up with parking tickets, sometimes it's hard to get a space, and hard to know which space you can and can't park in at the overflow area (hence the tickets).

Staff are great though and the location is pretty good for the town centre.

Hotel room was large and clean. Although we ended up being really hot during the night - probably a combination of the thick bed covers and not being able to get the temperature lower on the airconditioning. Although probably if it was winter it wouldn't be a problem! The breakfast buffet is included in the price and it was great, including hot selections of bacon, and scrambled eggs. It was about a 15 minute walk to the train station - so not too far away. Note that if you're going to Legoland, that the bus information the hotel gave us was old and outdated. You can catch the bus 43, 143 and costs about 116 krone for two people one way. The same bus goes to Billund airport. Although please confirm this information for yourself incase it changes!

This is a standard Scandic hotel with a little better quality as it is quite new. The surrounding is nice if you get a room with a view over the park. The rooms with a view to the parking area doesn't provide such a nice view. The retaurant is not the most cosy one and the the food is standard Scandic menu. Brekfast is also Scandic standard. If you want to try some other restaurants they are at walking distance.

Room Tip: Try to get a room towards the park.

Clever designed room with 4 real beds - scandinavian style with large windows and light hard materials. Excellent breakfast included in the price and in a good location close to many decent restaurants and a park for kidz play.

We went to Legoland and stayed at this hotel. As Scandic hotels in general, this one is quite new and stylish (scandinavian design). It is in a quite neighborhood and very close to the city center and restaurants. Only 25km to Legoland. Very nice family rooms.
