“Good hotel inside the Park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We booked this hotel with a 5x3 offer in Standard Room and were upgraded to an Admiral's Floor room on the back side of the hotel. The hotel is huge so we had to walk a long distance from the lift to the room. The room was spacious and everything was clean and in good conditions (it seemed having been refurbished),

The breakfast was continental but it was OK. The breakfast room got very crowded so I suggest to have breakfast and go to the park a bit earlier.

This place is very convenient as it is in the Park (extra "Magic Hours") and it's not as expensive as the New York Hotel or the Disneyland Hotel. I would consider it a 3* hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for an Admiral's Floor room.

Stayed for a three night break at half term with two children and my Mum. The hotel is in a great position on at the far end of the lake and is maybe a 10-16 minute walk to the park entrance. Check in was very smooth and we were upgraded to a lake view with a balcony, free of charge, which was nice!
We stayed on the Admiral floor and the room was spacious and clean although there was a strange smell in the room which we couldn't quite work out where it came from, we decided in the end it was the drains. The air con fan was noisy and was on permanently all night as we couldn't turn it off. I'm sure if we had reported it though they would have seen to it but we got used to it eventually! There was also a free safe, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer in the room to use.
The breakfast was continental and plentiful. The food in the park itself was very expensive to the point where we spent as much on food as we did the hotel! When booking I thought the half board option seemed pricey but wish we had taken it now as it proved to be much cheaper. We ate in the restaurant one night and had the all you can eat buffet which was OK and had plenty of choice.
Overall a good stay in a nice hotel, only downside was the pirce of the food!

Stayed in the Newport Bay for our recent DLP holiday. Newport is a really nice hotel, great theming & a good location for a 10 min walk to the park entrances. We stayed here as the Sequoia was very run down last time we stayed there (& we got a good deal). All of the hotels around the lake are very similar, but the Newport has nearly 2000 rooms!! At the time we were there, there were a couple of conferences going on, so not everyone was going into the parks everyday! Our room was good (a/c was a bit useless but luckily we could open the windows), we asked for a travel cot & bottle warmer, & they were both waiting in our room. We arrived about 11:30am & we got our room straight away which was really nice, so we could freshen up & enjoy the parks. Had quite a queue on arrivel for check in but it only took 10 mins or so. We look forward to returning to DLP in teh future I just wish that they'd spend some money on refurbing the hotels (which I'm not sure they've done for the past 20 years! - Yes DLP is really 20 years old!!!).

Simply we liked it. Some of the review on here draw your eye to the bits of the hotel that need a refurb...but all hotels have issues. This one is well located and has the extra magic hours benefit. Do try and select breakfast in the park on one day of your stay if you can; it's a much calmer experience. We recommend this hotel as being exactly what it sets out to be - a Disney experience next door to the two premier theme parks in Europe.

I stayed here with my husband and two children ( 6 and 11 years ) for 4 days. After a long day travelling and experiencing the day at Disneyland we arrived at our hotel tired and ready to recharge our batteries. We checked in very smoothly with no queues. I thought our room was a little bit worn and tired but soon unpacked and settled the children. After about and hour and a half we had a call to say that we had to move rooms for our own safety! the crisis was a broken drawer in the tv unit which didn't look nice but we dealt with it. Cut a long story short they couldn't swap the drawer (which did remove easily) they had to swap us!! we had to repack and move further down the corridor which seemed a bit silly and having two tired children didn't help but after this farce we soon settled. The hotel is nice with all the facilities you would expect of a 4 star but it is a little tired and could do with a spruce up.
Disney did not disappoint at all. The magic was there for our 6 year old and even a little magic for the older (cooler!) 11 year old.
A few tips:
If you arrive mid-week make sure you do all the "must do's" then and not leave it to the much busier weekend.
Buffalo Bills Wild West is well worth doing and is fun for everyone.
Make use of the extra Disney hour in the Parks if stopping in a Disney Hotel.
Choosing the Half Board option is worth doing as the food is very expensive and could cut well into your spending money.
Make sure you get to see ALL the parades. Well worth it with our youngest waving madly at all the characters.
The waiting times displayed at the entrance to the rides is not entirely accurate. We queued for 60 minutes for the Dumbo elephant ride when we were told it would only be 30 minutes!!!
If travelling on Eurostar it is worth taking some snacks such as biscuits etc. to keep hunger at bay while exploring the parks or to have in your room as these are pretty expensive to buy there with not much choice. Beer and wine is also a good idea to take as the hotel bars are quite pricey.
All in all a magical trip for the children but the hotel could do with a little TLC.

Arrived on Friday approx 2.30pm - smooth check in - staff spoke good English - advised room not ready, but hadn't expected it to be until 3pm. We had a drink (v expensive of course) in the bar - again, staff very friendly.
Room ready by 3pm, small ride to the 6th floor, by lift, of which there are 5. Room very clean and no real issues with it. Enough room and comfortable for just 2 nights stay. Just to odd touch up needed in the bathroom, but had no complaints at all.
We had been given a breakfast pass when we checked in, for the next morning. Our slot was at 9am and on arrival, there was a queue of about 100 people!! Both restaurants were being used for breakfast with one lady moving families into lines - we queued for about 30 minutes and when we did get to the restaurant, we were left to help ourselves to a continental breakfast. Food was fine, other customers were a force to be reckoned with, pushing and shoving with no regard for anyone else. Kids were running around and am not sure where the parents were!
We ate at Cape Cod on the Saturday evening, having booked a table mid afternoon. Food was good, was a buffet type service, but again, other visitors really had no respect for other diners. Would rather not name nationalities, but I can say that the English are just far too polite!!!
Reception was constantly packed out, a very busy hotel.
Childrens play area was tiny, with a tv and a small table for colouring - not a real childrens play area! Swimming pool was small - clean and staff friendly - but 20 people at once was enough.
Was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness in the hotel - mainly the bigger staircase. If it was a Disney hotel in Orlando, you would rarely see a speck of dust, but this hotel really did let Disney down on the cleanliness.
Would have been nice to have come comfy chairs in the waiting area. Only options was to sit in the bar where a cup (small cup) of coffee was four euro.
Glad only spent 2 nights, any longer and I think I might have felt a bit more disappointed.

Disney's Newport Bay Club is a New-England styled hotel located at Lake Disney. This hotel is huge and if you got a room at the far end of the hotel expect some long walks reaching your room. The hotel isn't cheap but offers Disney-atmosphere, which always come at a high price.

The rooms are light, with blue and white colors and offer modern comfort. The hotel is currently being renovated. After completion it will be completely refurbished and have a new color scheme. The service is good and the restaurants and breakfast are also good and what you would expect. The pool is huge and the outdoor-area of the pool is without a doubt the most beautifull in Disneyland Paris.
