“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2009

We stayed here 4 nights over the new years to go to Disney. We were quite disappointed and were expecting more for our money. Cars outside kept us awake all night as its by a very busy main road. Bed not comfy and mattress kept sliding off the bed! Didn't fancy the look of the restaurant so didn't eat there. The staff were reasonably helpful though you wouldn't use the word friendly! The decour was poor for such a highly starred hotel. I would have put it as 2star hotel Max. Mould in the bathroom and cracked tiles.
It was an ok position for disney but only if you had a car.
Wouldn't stay here again.

A very pleasant hotel, excellent service and good clean room. 10 minutes drive from Disneyland and very easy to find. The barriers did not provide us with any problems and once, when we lost our ticket, Reception provided us with another without any complaint. Everything was as it should be with all room facilities up to standard and a very good breakfast which was constantly being replenished as we ate, during what was a very busy bank holiday weekend. There is nothing nearby so I would really only recommend it as a cheap and peaceful alternative to the chaos at the Disney hotels if you don't plan to be there for a long period of time during the day. We ate at the park for lunch and dinner and were perfectly happy with the choice and prices there. We also discovered that there is a train station car park at the gates to Disneyland and paid 10 euros for a 12 hour stay, eliminating any need to queue for the park and ride. It was lovely at the end of the hectic noisy day to drive away immediately and be back in the pleasant peaceful hotel within 10 minutes!

  • Liked — peace and quiet after the hectic theme park
  • Disliked — the bar was closed before midnight

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with some of the comments that have been written about this hotel.
I have just returned and stayed at the hotel for two nights in a family room with 2 children. One a teenager. This hotel is 10 minutes from the Disneyland theme park and has easy access to the A4 motorway at junction 12. Then its just two exits up to Junction 14 for a direct road into Disneyland

The hotel may seem bland and a big grey box but the inside is tastfully decorated. The rooms are large and clean. The breakfast had a ample selection including hot food, cold meats and cheese and the usual croissants, it was plentiful. It was replenished several times during my time at breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is open until 22.30 and the bar until midnight. There is a Steak house at the end of the service road if you don't want to use the hotel, or an alternative is a Pasta restaurant in the next road on the estate next to the formula 1 hotel. They serve very good meals at reasonable value.

The access is straight forward and has been made out to be complicated. The access road has a height restriction at night, so cars with roof boxes especially 4 X 4's may have trouble getting under but the night guard is there. Access to the hotel is simple. Drive through the first barrier, it closes behind you, issues a ticket, and once taken the second barrier lifts. To get out, have the card authorized at the desk as you leave and simiply do the same process as you leave the car park. There is plenty of car parking for all.

All in all, a very good hotel, for visiting Disneyland, especially as it only a base

I have just finished reading a review from SmilyKate and fully agree with her remarks.

I also had 2 children and they were very unprepared for families.
Food was either chicken or fish, the chicken uncooked and when the food ran out before everyone had been served it was a case of 'food finished nothing else!' No apologies and as far as breakfast was concerned it was serve everyone else before we serve people with children.

Rooms were clean and if that is all you want then an ok hotel, if you want any sort of service then I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

Two high chairs in the whole restaurant, would not cater for childrens tastes, served either fish or chick on bone for dinner on both nights stay- both unsuitable for most young children, potatoes and leeks/spinich- which generally kids don't like either.
At breakfast ran out of bowls on being advised said there were no more -finished! how was I supposed to eat cereal off A plate?
They wouldn't clear the tables so we had no choice but to eat amongst everyone elses leftover mess, other tables sitting down tried to clear the table a little and were told to leave it by staff.
Being the outside hotel closest to Disney you would have thought they would tolerate children but they were very rude and inhospitable. having stayed in hotels all over the world this is one I certainly would not recommend to anyone with young children.
Very clean and nice rooms but their attitudes ruined what should have been a unforgettable weekend.

  • Liked — the room were of a decent size
  • Disliked — the staff and their attitudes towards children
