“Nice hotel 15 minutes outside Paris”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Hotel was very pleasant, rooms were lovely. Located a couple of minutes walk from the RER station which takes you into Paris every 15 minutes. Decided on this hotel as it was outside Paris therefore more reasonable, good value for money. As others have commented it is situated within a business region however there were a couple of restaurants nearby and a supermarket. We used the hotel as a base, travelling in and out of Paris daily, was ideal for this purpose. We stayed for 4 nights and were offered free hire of a car while we were there. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Our room faced onto the road however we were not disturbed by cars etc

3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012 via mobile

I recently stayed here for business one night as it was very convenient for my client's location and they had booked me in. It was not a particularly friendly welcome when I arrived and the place seemed very quiet. There is no on site restaurant, just a selection of microwave meals in fridges in the foyer (there was a microwave in the room). Whenever I asked for anything (even a couple of drinks at the bar when someone came to meet me) service was slow and grudging (I ordered a cup of tea and wasn't even offered milk) breakfast is a self service free for all in the aforementioned bar area but tasty enough. The room was well kitted out and I had a bath and shower which was a nice surprise for a very utilitarian hotel. It is clean and relatively comfortable. Wifi access was good and there was a nice choice of free films (even if it did take me some time to work out the overly complex key board and remote control operating combo). The staff need some customer service training and I would eat before I got there if I went again!

Pros: close to business park and RER. large room. free internet access. free (limited choice, not all have English version) movies.
Cons: the bathroom, kitchenette, toliet (yes separate toilet) are all in a module, and PLASTIC (really, for a 4 star hotel?). no curtains, only movable screens over the windows. must pay full accommodation costs when checking IN. no restaurant, only a dispensing fridge to get pre-packaged food to reheat with your in-room microwave.

luckily there is a choice of restaurants and even a supermarket within 10 minute walk, but would be hard work if it rains.
Does not qualify for a 4 star hotel in my opinion

Room Tip: know what you are getting yourself into before you book!

I had stayed in Suite Novotel at Ruiel Malmison for a week .
It is located in a very peaceful area ,the metro rail is very close by 300 mts ,there are very good resturant around like French,Chineese ,Indian and many eat outs .It is not very crowded and hence you can take long walks without botherin for noise ,crowd or Traffic.
The rooms are very neat and comfortable, the complimentary breakfast served is great with a good mix and variety to meet the various tastes of people.
Since it is close to the metro you can travell to all tourist spots in a short time.
I loved the place and the hospitality .

Stayed here for a couple of nights 23rd to 25th October. Check in was efficient and the staff spoke english.
Stayed on the 8th floor, room very nice and no complaints. Room has its own fridge/kettle/microwave, good tv with access to lots of movies etc.
Breakfast in the morning was simple, but very tastey.
Would have no hesitation in staying here, if i revisit the area.

The rooms are enough large and clean. staff are very friendly. You can find a cheap breakfast at the reception. There are also food for microowen in the entrance so you can cook at the room for a quick diner at the room.
It is a convenient place, close to many business building and metro station(200mt) and very quiet place
They can offer you very convenient 3 nights package. Free internet and some movie channel.

Room Tip: Recommend to book suite rooms and that are not on the highway side.

Hotel is meant to be self service style, which it delivers on, no problem. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions but this time received appaling service from a gentleman at the front office.

Having asked me if I wanted to pay €14 for breakfast I said no. (I had previously made the mistake of paying this €14 for 1 yoghurt, 1 boiled egg and an orange juice at this same hotel). When I was presented with invoice, I explained to reception that I had infact declined the offer of breakfast. I was then attaked by a barrage of challenges from reception who was adament that I had in fact agreed to breakfast. I then explained to the gentleman that as I had treated him with respect, I would expect the same from him. At which point he told me that he was sick and therefore he would find a colleague to remove breakfast from invoice. Enough to say, he did not find a 2nd colleage.... as I said, this is mostly a self service hotel, so rarely you see staff. Having created a storm in a tea cup, the gentleman did eventually remove breakfast.
