“Very bad value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

We stayed in the room that is directly facing the road. It's a nice little room but it wasn't as clean as it should, with dusty spots and such.

The room has very bad sound insulation and cars from the road will wake you up. The traffic isn't much, but enough to become a nuisance.

The room has 2 door, one of which does not face the road. Surprise, surprise, that door was locked. The only way to get some fresh air into the room and the door was locked. Why would you do that?!

Breakfast on the first day was mediocre to say the least. No buffet, just ordering a set platter of cold and hot assortment of cypriot foods. Unfortunately, the bread was stale and so was the cake. Considering it was ordinary sliced bread, I really can't see why they couldn't get some fresh bread.

Dinner (not included) at the restaurant was OK. Not bad but not great either.

Keeping in mind that Kalopanayiotis doesn't offer much of doing or seeing, it's safe to assume that Casale offers a nice place for a stay-in-your-room getaway. The truth is far from it and at an average of around €100 per night, I can't see why anyone would pick this over the fully-featured coastal tourist resorts.

We heard too many good things about casale panayiotis and we decided to visit it in winter time for a romantic christmas escape! As a village, kalopanayiotis is amazing but the service of the hotel was really slow and poor. And by this, i mean: I was trying to contact the receptionist by phone just to ask directions for the hotel. I was calling them repeatedly with no answer. I asked the locals and they explained me! Finally we got there and we were waiting for a receptionist to appear for 15 minutes. OUTSIDE!!! The room as a traditional guest room was nothing special and in my opinion a bit pricy. Also, the breakfast was poor. Although, the guys in the restaurant were very kind and helpful! The location was perfect and you should definetely try grilled halloumi with apricot jam in the restaurant!!!

In respect to the hotel itself and the location, i have to say just - beautifull.
The rooms, decoration of the common places, everything is gorgeous. The mix of styles between traditional and modern is very well done.
However, the service is very poor.
One of the receptionists had a very bad attitude and her manner of speaking could put you off from staying there ever again!
Furthermore, on the site of the hotel it is mentioned that there are number of natural trails ( this is one of the reason we came there) but when we have asked for the directions, they were very vague, so by follwoing them, we got lost in the village, did not find the trail - so much for the directions, you would expect the staff who works there to know what are they offering on the site and at least provide you with the map.

Overall however, i would definately stay there again, but make my own research on the trails to walk around
and i would like to advice to the management to work on their people skills, and train the staff to be more friendly and professional.

Very nice location and beautiful rooms. But very poor service, staff not well-trained and with unfriendly attitude.expensive restaurant. No room service and reception open only until 17:00. When you pay 170€ per night, you expect a much better service and behaviour.

A small family run village hotel using old village houses as apartments. A nice place to spend two or three days with your family or just your partner. It is a relaxing place to get out of everyday routine.

It’s our second visit within this year and the only word that can describe it is MAGNIFICENT!!! It is an excellent hotel for any time of the year in an excellent peaceful location. The room was very very clean and carefully decorated, the food is great and the breakfast is one of a kind and the homemade desserts are so delicious that a continuous temptation of testing them all is in your mind all the time. But what makes the whole experience to go far beyond anyone’s expectations is the staff. They are very friendly and helpful all the time, and there is no doubt that they make their best to serve you at any time. And last but not least, there is a great effort from the management for offering more to every guest no matter what the need is, new additions to the place and an all time monitoring of all the staffs’ activities are just some of those.
For sure is a place that I will always recommend and probably will visit again and again and again…
In fewer words: JUST A GREAT EXPERIENCE…THANkS A LOT CASALE PANAYIOTIS..

A really nice combination of culture and luxury. Rooms are very elegantly decorated, clean and spacious. Also they are very well equiped. Breakfast may lack a a bit on variety, however it is adequate and in a nice environment, served by kind and professional staff. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful as well.
