“A special place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

A place where you have to go at least once. The montain of salt is remarkable in the day and in the night. The entrance fee is a little bit expensive, but the services are premium.
They don't let people in over the maximum confortable limit. That is good if you are in, not so good if you don't know this from the begining and plan a trip there, only to find out that if you what to go in, you have to wait for somebody to come out, and in the weekends the waiting is significant.

“Extra sauna-sessions with honey, orange or ice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We spent a wonderful day in Egerszalók Spa which is very close to the historical city Eger but also the great wine-walley Szépasszonyvölgy. The Spa is not finished in 100% but the sauna-masters are compensating the miss with absolutely great seances. These are 15-20 min. long and start at 2, 4 and 6 PM every day. All of them are different but held in the yard's Finnish Sauna houses. The are using honey, salt, fruits, ice, beer, etc. during each session. The experience and the mood of enjoyers are priceless. The same feeling about the salt hill if you are bathing outside.
Unfortunately the food in the restaurant is not so tasty and pretty low quality.

“concrete monster”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

It is a beautiful valley wine region of the Eger . The bath complex is ugly concrete monster, it likes if it had not been finished. The steel recessed lighting beam illuminates. Part of the sauna and the many outdoor pool and Melter good.

“Nice, clean, affordable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

I liked the place, its atmosphere, staff and interior. It seems newly built / renovated and well equipped. The entrance was 2200 HUF (around 10 USD) which is affordable for average Hungarian or tourist. The water was clean and quite hot. The only thing I disliked is connection with public transport, I think local government needs to work on this issue. I didn't see taxis around the entrance of spa place, may be there were some in the entrance of the hotel side.

“Modern, friendly spa in a beautiful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I love this place. It is modern and new with none of the confusion and grumpy staff that often come with older establishments. The prices are quite steep but if you get a 3 hour ticket (ample in my opinion) it is quite reasonable. The mineral hills just by the pools really do add to the atmosphere. The pools are clean and well maintained as are the showers etc. Be warned the thermal mineral pools are quite pungent, I am still trying to get the smell out of my swimming costume! If you do not have transport a bus leaves Eger bus station once an hour.
