“Arrive as guests - leave as friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2011

We were house hunting in Eymet and stayed with Chris and Marian for two weeks, they have just the right attitude, not intrusive but always there to help, and help they do, nothing is too much trouble for them, we were even invited to a super evening with their friends and left feeling part of the "family". Razac is ideally situated, near enough to the town of Eymet but nestling in beautiful countryside, with a lovely pool, beautiful grounds, fishing etc and especially the ideal hosts, La Petit Auberge is ideal for house hunting and holidays with children alike, well recommended.

We were welcomed by Chris & Marian Blake who immediately made us feel "at home". Throughout our fortnight there they were generally available for advice/info/etc. and were always very friendly but never intrusive.
The facilities both inside the Gite and within the grounds were good.
Our teenage fisherman son was delighted with the free fishing (he brought his own tackle with him) at the end of the garden and landed a few good-sized carp.
Chris's free home-grown veg was greatly appreciated and very tasty.
Our greatest need was for relaxation and La Petite Auberge really "hit the spot" for us.

We've been twice now to the auberge and stayed in the main house, the rooms are very spacious, have lot's of character and are nicely decorated. The bathroom is modern and clean, the hosts were very welcoming. Would definitly go again. The weather was still fine in November and all the vineyards looked great in their autumn colours.

We stayed in La Grande Maison for 3 weeks in June/July 2008 with our grown up kids- their girl/boy friends and another 2 families. It was a very relaxing and good holiday.

Sadly this year we have not been able to return but hope to do so in 2010!

We stayed here after a hectic European trip and found this place to be a great place to relax. The gites were well presented, neat, roomy and the hosts were very friendly.
With two teenagers, the pool was an bonus. The place was very convenient to the town and local shops and with the large yard and courtyards on the gites, you wouldnt know there were other people staying there.
Compared to other places I saw, this represented the best place to finish off our holiday with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

This holiday had everything we all needed. Fishing for him, sightseeing for her and entertainment for the teens. Coupled with good food and wine, we all returned to the UK totally relaxed. Would definately go again, where else could provide such tranquil surroundings and everything else you need for a good holiday.
