“Would have been better with more attention given.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We visited this cave on our day trip to James Bond island. The Buddha statue was huge and good. Apart from this there is nothing to see around other than monkeys.

“Great Buddha statue in a damp and filthy cave!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

I particularly didnt like this place among other attractions in Phuket. Apart from the wonderful reclining golden buddha and few other statues, nothing else is attractive and worth seeing . Deeper inside the cave, the place is very damp having greasy uneven surfaces with wet potholes. Also the air is filled with foul smell, may be the monkeys have contributed to that. It is quite evident that the maintenance of the area is below par. Overall this temple is not a must-see.

“Fantastic Temple, and monkeys are a bit of fun!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Stopping by at the temple is amazing., The front is overrun by Monkeys, and there are stalls selling banana packs and peanuts for 300baht I believe. If you are planning to come ahead, bring your own supply of bananas! The monkeys will love you for it. 20baht to enter the temple so its not a huge cost, however as soon as we paid to enter, our toor was leaving, so the Thai people gladly refunded our 40baht entry. What lovely people. Would definitely return again!

“A nice travel break”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

We stopped here on the way to a rafting trip.
It was a nice 10 min stop to see the monkeys. Many tourists were feeding them bananas so they thronged about. I'm not really an animal person, so didn't get too excited about them. I would have felt more positively if people weren't interfering with their food sources.
Entry into the cave required a 20 baht admission, which is nothing really, but since our tour only stopped 10mins I just poked my head inside to see the giant statue of a reclining Buddha. I'm not too sure what was beyond the main cave.
