“Lovely paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

We visited the hotel in January 2012 for four nights and must say, it was totally worth it! We had travelled about 15 hours when we arrived to the Phuket airport and from the moment we stepped into the hotel car to the moment we left the hotel, we were served exceptionally well. All the staff members did their best to make our stay as good as possible, they kept smiling in all situations, even when it was pouring rain, they just smiled and kept on working.
We had a pool terrace room and we really enjoyed the plunge pool we had. Even the swim during the rain was quite refreshing.
I have to admit that the breakfast could have been more versatile and a little bit of luxury could be added, however, the view from the breakfast tables covered these faults easily – just beatiful!
We ordered dinner twice from the room service. It was good, not excellent comparing to relatively high price, but good and tasteful. We ate twice in hotel restaurants as well. We appreciated truly the limo service they offer. It was so easy just to hire a car and a driver and drive to the “village” to do some shopping for couple of hours, well worth the cost, it was so convenient.
Overall absolutely wonderful and relaxing experience, and if a good offer shows up, we do consider going back. The only downside was that there weren’t much to see when snorkeling since there were no rocks or corals, however, didn’t bother me, just my hubby who is a passionate snorkeler. I truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the beach and the private moments spent there.
There is no way I would get bored here – hey, who would get bored in paradise? Would I recommend the place? Absolutely yes! Thank you so much to every staff member, who made our stay enjoyable, hope to see you again one day. Best wishes to you all.

Room Tip: Pool terrace room (with own plunge pool) was great - really nice and private!

If you are seeking a quiet hotel away from the crowd, this one is delightful. The hotel facilities, rooms and grounds are immaculate. The hotel is located immediately on Natai Beach which is hawker free, and which we had to ourselves most days but being September it was closed for swimming. The two restaurants (One Thai, one not) are almost on the beach itself and the food and cocktails, YUM!!!

We both enrolled in the hotel's thai cooking lesson which included a visit to the market, their organic farm followed by a 'cook and eat' lunch, which was really good fun (and delicious).

We also benefitted with the wonderful Master Jay, the Recreation Manager who acted as tour guide around Phang Nga and Phuket Island on two days visiting many gorgeous temples and explaining Thai culture as we drove around and on one day, eating lunch on a floating fish farm. On yet another night, he took us off to watch muay thai boxing in Patong. As an ex-Thai champion himself (and who is still active in teaching the sport), this was a great experience. Master Jay is an exceptional man who is a wealth of information and fun so we were extremely privileged to spent as much time with him as we did. A good reason to travel in low season.

I took a minor fall one night and reported the lose board and sure enough it was fixed by breakfast with the General Manager personally checking on my welfare the next morning, along with many of the other managers when they saw us.

Which leads me to report on all the other staff. They were exceptional - friendly, fun, attentive and efficient - all attributes which contribute to a fabulous holiday.

My only disappointment was the high cost of the spa for thai massages which were $15 or more than I pay in Sydney. In the end a few days of rain made me relent and buy a package which reduced the cost considerably and the massages were excellent, however, without the rain I could not bring myself to afford this luxury.

We did splurge for the deluxe pool room (highly recommended) and spent our time between the enormous pool which is big enough for all guests and our private pool. My husband burns easily so he loved being outside on the sun lounge but still protected from the sun by the verandah above. The room is spacious and had everything you could hope for, including rubber thongs, yoga mat, golf umbrellas, fresh beach towels, etc. The room included 'turn down service' in the evening when we were left a little plate of chocolates or biscuits.

If you enjoy peace, quiet and your own company we would highly recommend the Maikhao Dream Resort at Natai Beach. We would particularly like to express our delight and appreciation to all the managers and staff who contributed to making our stay so absolutely delightful. We would love to return.

Room Tip: If you can afford to upgrade, go for a deluxe pool room, which gives you your own private pool and b...

Can only praise the staff who went ou of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Food was great and room really comfortable. We had a cooking lesson which was great and a number of day trips with Master Jay which were really informative and enjoyable. Will return.

The hotel design and decoration is wonderful, it has a lot of Thai Style. We were upgraded for free to a Garden Room and it was so good. The rooms are quite big, besides you have a good area outside your room with a comfortable sofa, table and chairs, where we spend a lot of time, reading and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is the first time in all of our trips that the hotel allowed us to make a late check out. Our flight back to Bangkok was at 9 PM, so we did the check out at 6 pm. We were very thankful!
Even though the hotel is a little bit far away from Phuket town, it is the perfect place for relaxing, enjoy the swimming pool, reading a good book or just lay down and rest. Not many people around, very quiet and private.
One day, We took a trip for snorkeling and it was nice, a little bit expensive as we know that long tail boats are usually cheap. But we had Master Saw (Recreation manager) , who speaks very good English and he allowed us to take our time in each snorkeling place. We could also suggest not going to one island and better do more snorkeling in other place. We had lunch in one floating restaurant on the way back, we had plenty of food and delicious taste. We would recommend to check some simple security issues as wearing the lifejackets and having some kind of buoys during the time that you are snorkeling, in order to alert other boats that there are people under the water.

The staff and service were excellent!! We met at Phuket airport and they bring us a cold towels and water. And when we arrived the resort, the staff gave us a flower garlands.

We stayed in a Garden Suite with a swimming pool view!! Amazing!! It's a very relaxing and privacy place, no tourist shopping nearby. I can take a good rest here!!

I fell in love with this property! It was fantastic, the people were fantastic. My travelling partner loved it too but he would have preferred it to be a bit more central to Phuket. I didn't mind because I was looking for a remote escape where I could sit around and do nothing. There wasn't a single thing I could fault this hotel on. Everything was amazing!

Room Tip: all fantastic

I recently stayed at the Maikhao Dream Resort & Spa, Natai, Phang Nga with a friend. This place was absolutely sublime; there is literally nothing I can say that wasn’t the best possibly quality and standard. I found the staff to be very friendly but not over powering, the actual resort was well kept, clean and tidy and the rooms were just fabulous, spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated.

I would recommend the Maikhao Dream Resort & Spa, Natai, Phang Nga to a family, a couple or friends. It was peaceful but at the same time there was plenty to keep you entertained. It was out of the way, so very secluded and quiet.

I would return to the Maikhao Dream Resort & Spa, Natai, Phang Nga again given the opportunity.

Room Tip: I think any room at the Maikhao Dream Resort & Spa, Natai, Phang Nga would be a good room!
