“A.K.A Slider Shack - A Hidden Gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

This place is named Slider Shack, and is located across from 7-11 on the Soi just before the main entrance of Nichada Thani. This place knows how to serve up Classic American Burgers. The owner has lived in both Chicago and Texas and has brought to Thailand some great recipes from the US. Definite diner appeal here, with pics from the 80's on the wall, and a few tables to sit at to enjoy your meal. Appreciated the frosted mug, with ice for the Dr. Pepper and A&W root beer we ordered. Good burger selections to choose from.

“Sliders and Dr. Pepper”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

My usual favorite restaurant around the corner was closed for vacation last week, so I stopped into the BBQ King Slider Shack. I'd seen this place for years but nothing really drew me in. I have to say the burgers are pretty good. Quality beef cooked just right and served on a very fresh, soft bun. There are a wide variety of different burgers and sliders. I tried to Diablo and Coney burgers, both were tasty, although the chili topping on the Coney was too a bit dry for my taste. The pulled BBQ Rib sandwich was also good. I especially like the drink selection, which includes Dr. Pepper, Beer Laos, and a few other imported classics. My only complaint is that the menu is very restrictive. Everything is served with mandatory fries, which is ok if you are ordering a big burger, but if you want to try a variety of sliders, it means you have to receive (and pay for) fries with each slider. The owner said if he is there he can discount the sliders if you don't want the fries, but that it's too difficult to explain that to his staff (?) but he might change the menu soon (hopefully).

“A Taste Of Chicago In Bangkok”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Totally surprised to find a restaurant like this on the outskirts of Bangkok of all places. I'm a native of Chicago and often times miss Chicago-style hot dogs, real wood-smoked bbq and burgers. BBQ Sandwich King faithfully follows the Chicago-style recipe on their dogs as well as other items. It's not just Chicago-style either. This place also has Tex-Mex quesadillas and American-style burgers, and all items come with Tater Tots. I've had their onion rings as well. They are incredible! For the BBQ and burgers, it's hard for me to choose between the Pulled Pork Rib Sandwich or the Metro Burger. They're all so damn good! Also the choice of beer is great! This place has a good selection of imported beer alongside the regular Thai beer choices. I usually go for the Cooper's Stout, though. The atmosphere is clean, quiet and cozy. BBQ Sandwich King is definitely one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Bangkok.

“Great Burgers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

Also known as 'Slider Shack', this is a popular eatery for many students who go to school at ISB (which is in the compound near Slider Shack).
The restaurant has awesome burgers, with a wonderful blend of flavors. Everything is always cooked fresh, so you'll always get hot, right-off-the-stove burgers. The menu offers a wide variety of burgers and sliders, including the choice of a "baby" burger, or a smaller burger.
However, the restaurant is very cramped and small - I'd estimate 10 people would make it crowded in there, and every time I go there, my hair comes out smelling like burgers because their kitchen is the same room as where you eat. Prices are also quite steep, but I guess it's worth it for the burgers.
I think it's a place you should try if you're ever close by or in the area.

“Best burgers in Bangkok”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

This small unobtrusive restaurant just outside of Nichada Thani is home to some of the best hamburgers and hot dogs in Bangkok. Mark the owner is from Chicago and prides himself on his quality fare. His burgers vary from gourmet to basic (sliders) but all are delicious; the bigger ones being a full meal. The hot dogs also have a good variety. Oh, I almost forgot, the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and the chicken quesadillas are also excellent! Add a cold beer on ice and chill out in BKK!
