Owner description: Rosemary Beach is a neo-traditional town located on northwest Florida's gulf coast, between Panama City and Destin, at the eastern end of Scenic Route 30A. Easily accessible by air or by car, the town is a 30-minute drive from the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport and a one-hour drive from the Fort Walton Beach Okaloosa Airport. The Rosemary Beach Land Company and President Patrick Bienvenue had a vision they wanted to share with the world. In 1995, that vision became a reality and Rosemary Beach was born. Rosemary Beach Land Company’s development plan is founded in the principles of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development. Inspired by other classic beach towns, the 107-acre, gulf-front town of Rosemary Beach was designed to bring back the notions of community, neighborhood and convenience. In other words, this slice of heaven on earth offers residents the opportunity to live and work in paradise. In their search for paradise, people often travel to the far corners of the earth, only to come up empty-handed. In reality, paradise is a lot closer than most people think. Long stretches of pristine beaches made up of the brightest of white sands. Refreshing breezes blowing off the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The peace and tranquility of gently lapping surf, singing gulls and sandpipers. These are things that have been quietly awaiting discovery in a section of Florida's panhandle. These are the ingredients that make up the town Rosemary Beach--paradise found.Residents of Rosemary Beach are lucky to not only live and work here, but also to have the opportunity to play here. When work is finished and the rest of the errands can wait, Rosemary Beach is the perfect location for a vacation. Mild year-round temperatures, yet still a change of season; spectacular beaches free from crowds; the natural beauty of a beach-side destination located on a designated scenic road; aesthetically-pleasing architecture and award-winning, expertly-designed layout; convenient and quaint town center, amenities such as tennis courts, pools, dune walkovers to the beach and lots of green areas in which to relax; these are the qualities of the new paradise of Rosemary Beach.

My wife and I have been coming out to the C30 area since 1998.

We love Seaside and have really hit every spot and beach along this coast.

Lately we have come to think Rosemary Beach has the right mix of location, restaurants, accommodations, and things to do.

There is a great hotel, The Pearl, and some wonderful places to eat right in the heart of Rosemary Beach.

“A Great Family Destination”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2015

Such a nice place to let the kids roam free and for everyone to relax. This trip was off-season and was pleasant because it was still lively, but not crowded. The breeze coming off the Gulf can be cooler, but it is no less beautiful. A super little farmer's market on Sundays in the park.

“Amazing place to watch the sunset”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2015

The beach was quiet and clean, and there are restrooms and feet-washing stations just above the sand (it is so fluffy that even if you just go for a walk, you may want to rinse off). Everyone stopped what they were doing to appreciate the sunset- was kind of wonderful standing in appreciation of something so magnificent.

“Rosemary My Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2015

The first time I visited Rosemary Beach was 5 years ago and since then I have been 6 times; therefore I know it like the back on my hand. It is located on the panhandle next to various southern beaches but Rosemary is special. It is a small community filled with beautiful houses that you can rent. It is filled with families, so if you are older this may not be the place for you because at night the town is filled with teens. Rosemary is very sophisticated and not commercial at all. It has a very European architechual feel. Because the beach is private, it is not overcrowded, and if you enjoy running it is a lovely place to run in the morning. Also, if you run down the beach you can see the vacation homes of the Hiltons, Faith Hiill and Tim Mcgraw and Michael Jordan. The community consists of just a few restaurants and high end boutiques so if you don’t want to spend a large sum of money you may want to bring your own food or enough clothing to last you the week. The community is wonderful, but the center of it is the beach.
The sand is a pristine off white and the ocean is a vibrant turquoise. The water is the most spectacular water I’ve seen in Florida. On the beach you can rent chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, surfboards, paddleboards and they are fairly priced. I suggest you rent chairs and umbrellas because then you get a good spot on the beach. There is a company that sets the chairs up for you and puts your name on them everyday. The waves vary; sometimes they are huge and other times they are ripples which I enjoy because for paddleboarding, you need smaller waves, but for going out on the various sand bars big waves are better, to jump and body surf. On the many sandbars you can find hidden treasures such as sand dollars and shells. The ocean, sand and community make Rosemary Beach a wonderful vacation spot.
If you get tired or hungry at the beach you can walk up the rustic wooden steps and wash off all the sand under the stainless steel showers. Once you are cleaned off, you can walk onto the green where there is a hot dog stand called Dog Man Du where you can enjoy lunch. These are not just any hot dogs, they are freshly grilled and taste wonderful not like the rubbery ones you find in the supermarket. On the green there is also always a game going on like football, soccer or kickball and joining or starting a game is s great way to meet new people. Most people vacationing there are from Tennessee, Alabama or Georgia, so be ready to hear lots of southern accents. If you are looking for a fun, relaxing family vacation Rosemary Beach is the perfect spot!
