“Little piece of refuge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

We stayed in this campsite as a base to go to Disneyland - as a base for disneyland it is quite far but as a camp site in which to relax - What a place. We stayed in mobile home and it was spotless and quite pleasant. It had a wonderful outside porch which we ate on every night and the actual area was wonderful. What sealed the camp site for me though were the facilities. Firstly all the staff are multi-lingual, which is a massive help. they are not arrogant and are very friendly. Secondly they have a small petting zoo style area. It has goats, sheep, chickens, a donkey and some ponies. This was a massive hit with the kids who also could have rides in the afternoon on the ponies. The play areas were fantastic, there was a tiny little jungle gym in the front as you drive in but in the centre of the park was the most fantastic play are which we spent hours in - it had a number of different zip lines and climbing frames and swings all very adveture course-ish and there is even planned activities which the kids take part in that teaches them to use the equipment. the best of all are the 2 pool - one large one with not ine but 3 awesome slides and one smaller heated pool which is enclosed in a cool bubble.

The centre which has a bar also has a small supermarket and a pasta bar as well as a normal kitchen and bar. the village houses some medieval tents which also have smaller tents for the kids tucked away in the forest next to the bigger tents. It is a magical natural place which has all the comfort you could have in a camp site and a few extra features which were actually wonderful.

Room Tip: We stayed in a mobile home but the medieval tents looked like great fun and no hassle.

We stayed in a Medieval Tent in June 2012 and the tent was good. It was spacious, nice decking area, comfy beds and had everything we needed. The pool area is nice and pool was heated, slides were good and overall the facilities at the site are good. Main problem with this campsite is that opposite is an event's centre which hosts team building events, which means when we stayed - there were 2 events on 2 consecutive nights. Loud music until the early hours, then everyone comes back to the campsite and makes a noise until 3 / 4am - they were in the pool shouting until 4 am one night. There is NO security at night at the campsite - riddiculous. Also the main shower block the showers are terrible - also luke warm water at best. Overall the staff were OK, however we did come across a very miserable barman who could not have been more unhelpful if he'd tried. Location is good - 1 hour from Disney Land Paris by Car and 1 hour 15 mins to Paris on the Train from Provins. Would I go back - unlikely - but if you get lucky and there are no events opposite, the sun shines and the staff cheer up - it will be good.

Room Tip: Check whether there are any Team Building Events Opposite when you are there, if there are AVOID IT.

We visited as a family (2 adults and a 7 year old ) in october 22nd-29th. When we arrived we checked in quickly and my 7 year old was thrilled with the free bikes to use.
Our mobile home was clean but did not have a kettle or cups but a coffee maker and espresso cups which were no use to us , so we ended up buying a kettle and full-sized cups the next day. The kitchen had a microwave and dishwasher but no toaster or oven.
One major thing was NO TV, and with lack of entertainment did not make us happy. also there was no curtain/blind on the shower window which anyone could see through.
when it rained the noise on the mobile home roof was unbearable and led to a few sleepless nights.
When we were there we did have a stone thrown through are cars' rear window which completely smashed and we had to waste a day of our holiday calling insurance companies and talking to the police. We did notice the lack of security around the accomodation and we concerned about this but the park staff were not bothered.
The staff were as helpful as they could be.
Overall I don't think we would go back!
