“Loved our whole day there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

What a really good zoo! Have never been before - being from overseas! Was so impressed by all I saw - and surprised at the huge size of it!
We went in the morning and spent the rest of the day there, only leaving because it was closing time!
So much to spend time looking at and discovering or just enjoying the antics of some of the animals - like watching the elephant 'retrieving it's ball in the water, and the Orangutans that could have kept me engrossed for hours - if I'd had had the spare hours.
The nocturnal house was a real lovely surprise. Far more animals than I'd have expected, all active and easy to see. I discovered so much about Australian wildlife!

We were happily exploring the Autralian outdoor region and met some kangaroos close up. Then looked at the time, and just enough time to get back to the shop for some souveniers before closing time!
For sure a place I'd visit a lot if I lived closer!

“A brilliant day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

I spent the afternoon at Perth Zoo today, which is ideally close to my house, and had such a great day. Despite being a bank holiday weekend, it wasn't uncomfortably busy. The price was really good at $22 per person. I have been to zoos in many countries, and this one was amongst the best in terms of quality of animal enclosures and breeding programs. I would recommend it for both adults and children, as it is a great way to spend a day.

“Very good day with the kids or grandchildren”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2012

Took the grand children there and had a great time. They loved the entire zoo. There are plenty of things to keep them occupied and the animal exhibitions are outstanding. They have spent a lot of money on the place and it is very good quality. I suggest you take your own food as that is not an area they excel in. The food is ordinary and very expensive. That is the only down side but easily overcome.

“Love the bush walk section”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012 via mobile

Very well organize zoo with helpful signage to help you to go about. Make sure you allocate more than 3 hours to complete the visit to cover the whole place. Walking path around the zoo is excellent and strollers friendly. There's plenty of rest and picnic area which strategically located around the zoo.

Family ticket is available for 2 adults and 2 children that will gove you a reasonable cost saving versus purchasing individual ticket of the same nos of people. You can add on for child ticket if you have more than 2 child with you.

You are also allowed to leave the zoo and come back anytime and as many time you want within the same day with a visit card that you can obtain from the cashier counter. The zoo are organized by the animals origination of Africa, Asia, etc. As a tourist and 1st time visitor, I particularly like the bush walk which gives you a fairly good idea on how Australia's forrest looks like and the unique animals that can only be found in different part of Australia.

For self drive tourist, take note that the parking provided at 3 locations - near entrance, the back and across the street charges parking fees by hour even on weekend include Sunday which is not applicable to some other countries.

Also take note that the zoo map is charged AUD1 if you require one which I don't as their signages are reliable.
