Just back from le Marche and one of the most memorable events was our dinner at Piccolo di Rame. Nearly didn't make it as we arrived in the dark for dinner at 20:30 and Silvano had forgotten to leave the lights on up to the old mill. There is no signage so we had no idea whether we were in the right place but after nearly giving up a few othe cars arrived at this seemingly deserted village so we just follwed the crowd ( the restaurant only has 5 tables) through the stone arch into the village and up the hill.
The 12 course set meal was fantastic with each course being explained in Italian by chef Silvano to each table individually. For 30 Euros you get plenty of wine, 5 appetisers, 3 pasta dishes, 3 mains and a dessert. The portions are fairly small and the meal lasts about 3 1/2 hours so one doesn't feel to full by the end.
Silvano then prints off each table a personalised menu as a keepsake.
It may be a little bit of a drive from Macerata (25 minutes) but I can wholeheartedly recommend.
