“It's all free”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Its a little bit outside of the city and about 20 minutes in the train. A large park where you can walk at leisure see the deer in the trees, chase mosquitoes and generally enjoy the nature. if you are there daytime you can then continue at Bakken, which is the amusement park, rather similar to Tivoli but much smaller and without an entrance fee. There are plenty of overpriced places to eat ot just take fast food. its a good day out if you are tired of the city.

“A time for nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

This is a wonderful park with a lot of animal and lovely nature. There are several paths to follow for short and long walks. You can also ride in a horse carriage so you can sit and relax while riding through the whole park, seeing all the vegatation, animals, restaurants and the "Erimitage Castle" on your way. If you like some fun then visit Bakken, which you can find only a few hundred meters from the Red Gates. Definitely worth a visit.

“If you like nature”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

A place to visit if you like nature. Beautiful forest with lots of free running deers. There is also a nice summer castle from where you have a beautiful view over the Øresund area. Best moment to visit the forest is in early morning during the fall.

“Take a walk and look at big heards of deer.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

If you want a brisk walk of several miles, you can experience thois old hunting area with thousands of deers.
In the middle there is a charming little Eremitage castle.
On wednesdays you are allowed to drive your car to the castle.
After your walk, eat a superb lunch or dinner at "Raadvad Kro" in the middle of Dyrehaven.

“In the footsteps of millions of copenhageners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Once a place solely for the king now this is the favorite place for copenhageners to go for a walk, to go for a ride in a horse carriage, to jog, to picnic or to visit the amusement park 'Bakken'.

It is a vast area 15 km north of the city strewn with beeches and oaks and deers grassing on 'the steppes'. It contains a small baroque castle ('The Ermitage') still used for hunting by the Prince of Denmark, a lunch restaurant ('Peter Lieps House) and endless small roads perfect for meditation or conversations.

You never regret two hours of walk in 'The Deer Garden'
