We are just back from 4 nights at the Cnoc Hotel in Struy. We thought that it was one of the best-run small hotels we had ever stayed in. It was cosy and unpretentious, and warm and welcoming.
The food was excellent, all home made, and served most efficiently, either in the bar or in the dining room. The staff of local girls and women were all most friendly.
The owner, too, was extremely kind: she was very happy to be flexible, and one evening gave us dinner after a long day on the hills, an hour after the dining room was closed.
There is a very comfortable residents' lounge with a fire and lots of books and space to relax.
We should certainly like to return the next time we are in the Glenaffric/Glenstrathfarrar area - incidentally, a stunningly beautiful bit of Scotland with lots of wonderful walks.
