We were looking forward to a relaxed tasty Sunday lunch, and we were disappointed.
The first courses were good, well 3 out of 3 were, the Ham Hock terrine and the deepfried cheese were great, sad;y the soup was almost tasteless.
Then the mains came, there were loads of things on the plate, too much, whole unscraped carrots, either squash or pumpkin, peas, some greens roast pots and mashed potatoes, and beef.
We were hungry an it was OK but not outstanding and on a Sunday £20 for three courses we sort hoped it would be.
One of us had fish and chips, the chips were fine but the fish batter was oily and that wass the taste, along with the beer in it, so it got left.
Only one of us had a dessert, pana cota and it was good.
Overall too expensive and too much on the plate spoilt what could have been a good dining experience, sorry.
