“One of the best skiing areas there is”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Having skied in various resorts in 7 odd countries Davos is up there with the best there is to offer. Admittedly the winter weather mid Feb was more like early spring.
The pistes and surrounds were enjoyed by all in my party however the only comment was that the grooming and preparation of the slopes was not up to standard and no where near the quality of Austrian pistes.
I had to agree.
The restaurant facilities ample however the food I ordered was awful. Maybe my fault is not being more selective. All in all superb vistas and environs. Piste staff always friendly alert and helpful to those needing assistance.

“Challenging slopes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

Slopes are challenging not for first timers. Huts in the mountains served good food while enjoying spectacular views.

“Very nice skiing area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Very nice skiing area with broad slopes. Good for carving. A lot of spots besides the slopes where you have powder.

“Our second day of skiing bliss......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014 via mobile

What an amazing resort. I am an intermediate skier, and can say that the number and length of runs will cater to all levels of skiers. The views are superb, the lifts efficient even though the cable cars are usually jam-packed with people.

Purchasing a ski pass can be done in various locations including kiosks that are near the base of Jacobshorn. Ski and snowboard rental places are a very short walk from here as well (5 minutes or less).

Restaurant choices are in abundance. Getting here was easy from the hotel which we stayed, as they gave us bus passes, and the bus stop was a 4 minute walk from our hotel. The bus stopped adjacent to Jacobshorn. I also saw that it is also serviced by a train as well, giving you several options to get here.

There are several different types of ski jumps, where I observed many skiers catch some serious air today, if you are into extreme style skiing.

The bottom line: there are many ski areas here in Davos, and if you are looking for an excellent venue to hit the proverbial slopes whether you are beginner skier or an expert, Jacobshorn will not disappoint. In fact after 2 days of skiing, we decided today that we will return again tomorrow for our third and final day of skiing in Davos. One final note: Jacobshorn appears to be a very family/kid friendly ski area as well.

“Starter for Skier”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

Jakobshorn situated near Davos Platz train station and just next to Post office. Great place for starting your ski lesson and also great place for sightseeing too. With cable car to the top of Jakobshorn for about 30 SFr., very easy to travel to the top.
