The Fleur De Lys Public House in Stok Sub-Hamden, is a old pub with a real country feel about it. It decor is typical local country pub.
We went to this pub twice whilst on holiday, first on the Sunday, when we popped in for Sunday Lunch and we had two wonderful roast turkey dinners with crisp roast potatoes and a very good selection of vegetable and really nice thick gravy. We washed this lovely food down with pints of bittler and I had the Harris Cider, which is a still cider with a wonderful taste and a real kick.
We returned again to this pub on the Friday, a week later and this time we were served to a lovely lazania with garlic bread and my husband had the pub's special 'A Boar Burger', which her said was really nice, this came served with chips, onion rings, salad and a nice spicy chutney for the burger. Once again I had the lovely Harris cider and my husband a pint of the local bittler.
There was a band on the Friday evening, but we did not stay to listen as we had to return home.
