“Good Meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

We went to the Lamb just on the spur of the moment. The beer was good as was the excellent salad. It was hot and my husband and I hungry but not up to a huge meal. We ordered the prawn and smoked salmon salad and quickly forgot we were supposed to be eating a small meal. There was plenty of salad, plenty of smoked salmon and we polished off the lot including the fresh chunks of bread. We done The Lamb. Interestingly half was through the meal the bar staff came over and replenished our drinks, a nice touch as this was after all a pub and we expected to go to the bar ourselves. Good pleasant meal.

“Better than the immediate opposition”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

Been going here since the 60’s and it has always been a place a little better than the immediate opposition. In the old days it was for the Youngs of Wandsworth beers but now it is like all former watering-holes having to fight for its existence as a gastropub or near equivalent. How is it doing? Certainly it’s better than anything for miles around but that could still not mean much. The food is innovative (but you can still get the pub grub favourites), it is well-cooked, well-presented and reasonable value – the portions of pub grub are generous but the up-market stuff is often (not always) a bit lean for the price. Doing a good job and well worth a visit.

“Lunchtime treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

We ate at The Lamb Inn after a short 3 mile walk. The pub was very welcoming and offered a 2 course lunch for £10 or 3 courses for £12 with coffee thrown in. Limited choices but excellent food, and a lovely way to end a walk with friends (and the dog).

“Our favourite eatery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014

We go fairly regularly. Food is always very good. Tasty, generous portions, always fresh and locally produced. They do some very nice wines & ciders. The staff are friendly and professional. We went to their last all you can eat night. How did they get the brisket of beef so yummy? Fantastic!

“Disappointing.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014 via mobile

Went to The Lamb Inn for a light lunch, I ordered the sausage & onion baguette with some chips. When I came the sausages in the baguette were very ordinary and I'd say cheap! The chips were terrible tasted as if they had been re-cooked and were very greasy.
My girlfriend order the pâté which wasn't too bad.
Maybe it was just what I ordered but having been here before I was expecting better.

I'm Sorry you did not enjoy your lunch. We shall look at the quality of the sausages and change them if needed. The pate is home made by us and has always got very good feedback so i'm sorry you just found that ok. I hope you will visit us again and maybe try one of our specials or choose from our fresh fish selection. Thank you for your feedback.
