“We felt like family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

My son and I visited Ireland and stayed in several bed and breakfasts. Coonagh Lodge was one of the best. The house is very nice, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The baths are great and everything is tremendously clean. But what this offers most of all are the hosts. Bergie and Tom and fantastic. Bergie fussed over us and made us feel welcome and special. She was delightful to talk to and she was constantly focused on our needs and comfort. She even worried about us when we went on a short cruise in bad weather! She greeted us with coffee and scones when we arrived and breakfast was great. Tom was very helpful also and chatted easily. The location is great we were close to Bunratty Castle as well as many other sites and very close to the Shannon airport. Bergie told us she'd been running the B&B for 24 years and her experience showed. She'd also won some awards for quality and she well deserved them. Dont hesitate to stay here!

The nicest part in Ireland is the incredible hospitality: one isn't staying just at a B&B, one is staying with friends or even more, with family. HOme made bread with sunflower seeds, specially bought cottage cheese for us just because we happened to ask if there wasome, of course home made jam. And the beautiful garden, the fresh air just a few minutes out of a LImerick , very near to Shannon airport, and the beautiful castle of Bunratty: a must!
A big thank-you for this warm welcome, and perfect peace and quiet, just what one needs on holiday.

Bergie and Tom are so welcoming! It's a great location just outside the city . But really it's highlight is the charming Irish hospitality. We were only going to stay for one night and after we met them decided to stay for two... fabulous choice!

Of our 10 day vacation of Bed and Breakfasts, this was our least favorite. It was clean, but the house was not up to the standard that we had come to expect. Our hostess did accept us early and she did provide fresh tea and raspberry cheesecake on arrival. It was also close to Bunratty Castle and we liked that.
