“If you need wifi, don't stay here!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

Typical premier inn hotel, good clean and comfortable room, friendly service, typical build quality.
However it doesn't get 5 stars due to the fact they advertise wifi but you can't get it. On the night I arrived, I had some work to complete however between 10.30pm and 8.00am the following morning, no wifi even though apparently it had been reported.
Other guests were complaining about it too at breakfast. If wifi is a core offering, your provider needs to be able to provide it consistently or at least sort the issue quickly.
Ops manager, miss debs gillham was very good however, chasing up the issue and keeping me informed, if only the wifi provider offered a service like miss gillham!
So come on premier inn, wifi is part of your core offer, so lets sort it out at Rochester so i can stay there again if I need to.

This is my first stay at a Premier Inn and we were quite impressed. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed; All the staff were excellent, indeed a few were exceptional and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room we had was on the top floor and the river view was excellent. Plenty of parking and you did not really need to use a car as the bus service was quite decent into Rochester and Chatham and reasonably cheap. I would definitely use Premier Inns in the future. Premier Inns may be down as budget hotels but I would say along with Ibis they are top notch.

Room Tip: I had a lovely room with a view of the river (railway at the back) and top floor.

For my first contact with this Brand, I lived a good experience.
Most likely to repeat it.
Excellent stay, polite staff, very good room, quick booking and selection on net, clear informations, friendly environment, efficient parking area.

This was a perfect location location for the wedding we were going to. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the room was lovely - really spacious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The was a lovely restaurant with a really good choice of food. Breakfasts were available from early to late morning.

This was my first trip to a premier Inn and wasn't I glad I did so for a budget hotel it is at the top of its game. Rooms were clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was superb lots of choice plus costa coffee. Very impressed and would be happy to stay again. Only criticism no biscuits in room but on the plus side suppose that was good for my figure.

Room Tip: If you have a room in the front you have a superb view of the river

We stayed here in June 2013 for a couple of nights when attending a wedding. We have stayed here before so decided and were very impressed so decided to come back. The hotel is modern, clean and and good value. the staff are helpful and attentive. The rooms are modern and clean. We stayed in a family room which was spacious and well layed out. We had breakfast on both days which is great value, epsecially becuase our 2 children ate for free. We used the bar the first night. The staff were attentive and the overall atmosphere was relaxing with big leather sofas. Overall I would suggest you try this place out. It is in a good location and the Premier hotels are great value.

Second time we have stayed here. We called the day before and requested a front facing room on a high floor so our grandson and I could see the river and boats. Breakfast was well worth the £16.50 for the two of us and the grandson ate free. Considering I booked in advance and only paid £25.00 for the room this was a good value weekend as we went back to Chatham dockyard which we joined earlier in the year, we still have not done all the attractions there after two years.
Well recommended
Andy

Room Tip: Call in advance and ask for second floor facing river
