“A good night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

Only stayed one night but can highly recommend. Great welcome, very nice room, very clean and tidy. Good value evening meal and excellent breakfast, could not ask for more. Shame some of the other much more expensive "Hotels" we stayed in in Wales did not match this standard.

For breakfast you are asked if you want white or brown bread, not per table but each person. That is the personal touch.
If that sentence doesn't sell it to you then I'll carry on. We had room one, medium size with a large bathroom and shower. Imagine a bed made of candy floss and clouds. That is how soft it is, and may even be the best I've ever slept in. The complimentary drinks tray includes bottled water, hot chocolate, tea, coffee and two different milks. Plenty of storage, towels etc. And everything spotlessly clean. I cannot fault the room at all. Breakfast in the morning is full English (or Welsh) plus cereals, toast, juice and coffee.
As an added bonus the pub has a large and varied food menu with some great dishes.
If you are passing through and looking for somewhere in this area to stay then this is the place. Great food, a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast to get you under way the next morning.

We visited the Sennybridge area to meet up with friends from all over the UK to celebrate a 21st Birthday. Internet searches proved challenging as did finding accommodation that suited our needs. Eventually I found the Usk and Railway and what a find! The accommodation was beautiful, contemporary and spotlessly clean, the breakfast freshly prepared and cooked all to the highest of standards. Elaine and her partner went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to assist wherever they could. I would highly recommend the Usk and Railway to anyone visiting this area. This is a quality B&B set up with 5 star service with lots of well thought out additional extras. Keep up the great work Elaine and thank you so much.

What an amazing find this place was. Our room was spotless clean, spacious, very comfortable and full of all the amenities that you could hope for even in a top class hotel. The food was excellent both at breakfast and in the evening in the restaurant. The welcome by the owners and staff was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. There was a great selection of drinks at the bar including real ales.
It was close to great walking, mountain biking and canoeing, so an excellent place to stop.

What a lucky find this Inn was. Husband was playing at Brecon Fringe Festival and we left it to late to book a room in Brecon so decided to look in Sennybridge (10mins from Brecon) Couldn"t find any photos of rooms on web page but as it has 4 stars from Wales Tourist Board thought it would be OK. The room was excellent, large, spotlessly clean with lovely decor & very friendly owners. Only had breakfast which was delicious. If we are attending Festival again next year we shall stay here and not look anywhere else!!

Sometimes difficult in this part of Wales to find B&B that also provides evening meals. This inn is newly refurbished, spotlessly clean and the owners and staff are lovely. Good choice of evening meals of good quality and choice of drinks and wines. Breakfast cooked to order and really good. Great place to stop overnight and beautiful surrounding countryside. Really enjoyed our stay, value for money.
