Ideally situated for people out walking. Good plain food well presented. Lovely views. Excellent service and obviously catered for people with children.

“Best Cullen Skink”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We were touring the west coast and came upon The Pier by (very happy) accident. I was feeling a little unwell and so decided just to have a light bite and chose the Cullen Skink. Wow. We travelled over 1000 miles on this holiday and NEVER found a skink to equal this one. Several months later my husband is still raving about his dish of smoked haddock and I have tried and failed to recreate the cullen skink. If you are planning to eat here - and I strongly recommend you do - make sure you have a good appetite. Staff and food fantastic.

“Really good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

Just had Sunday dinner at The Peir. Carvery-Beef or pork, yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, carrots and delicious roast potatoes and gravy. As much as you like. I
Nice choice of home-made starters and puddings. It was excellent. I'd say i was very fussy but I've been a few times now over the years and have never been disappointed. Always something interesting on the menu and always ffresh, tasty and home-made. Really good and in my opinion, definitely the best eatery in the area. I think I've tried them all. Service friendly and welcoming.
