Just returned form a week's holiday. Lovely location overlooking Kyrenia and the sea to the front, and the mountains to the rear. A ten minute taxi ride from Kyrenia, but if we go back we will hire a car, as there are linited facilities and places to walk in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
All staff extremely friendly and efficient, food is good, and a nice pool. We stayed in a cottage suite, which was fine, but agree with other guests that although we couldn't fault cleanliness, some refurbishment is probably due.
Good enough to justify a return visit

Tucked away halfway up a hill, you will really need to hire a car to get anywhere. Apart from traffic on the steep hill outside the hotel, (and barking dogs!), this is a quiet retreat, and the large swimming pool is nicely sheltered.
The staff are all very friendly, and we liked the way they get to know your room numbers so quickly when ordering things.
But our room was very quirky, which I guess is the kindest way to describe it. All metal furniture, which can make horrible noises across the floor. The bed was extremely hard, and there are no duvets. Some of the cupboards in the sitting room had been screwed up so they didnt open. And we had a tiny crt tv that only got Skynews, the Travel channel and one film channel that seemed to be all adverts.
But the main reason to downgrade them was the bathroom. This was tiny, and with a non power shower that dribbled very hot or very cold water at you it was impossible to have a satisfactory shower. It cried out for a thermostatic shower valve, and a good shower head clean.(and the mid level hook to hang the shower on was missing) Couple this with the typical "no paper down the loo" of that part of the world, and no bidet, and it made for a dissappointing bathroom to say the least.
Some people have raved about the food, all I can say is that they have led a very sheltered life! Plenty of it , yes, but too much fried and from the freezer. And I dont particularly like fries with rice and pitta bread all on the same plate!
But hey! we got plenty of sun, and the people were all friendly, but sorry to say we shan't be going back.

What a great holiday, The Hideaway Club is a small piece of heaven on earth. Lovely friendly staff who are always around to help. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool a good size with enough sun beds and towels. Drink and food is priced well. Sadly there is no where to walk to but Kyrenia is a short taxi drive away. You must try the local Gin and Galibu (Malibu). We would recommend this Hotel to all except famililes with small children. We have recently returned from two weeks at the Hideaway Club and once again it has worked its magic. This was our second visit this year. We returned home completely relaxed and refreshed after being looked after so well by the amazingly attentive staff. Really all we had to do for ourselves was to breathe in and out! Although the hotel looks a bit tired in places, it is very clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It would not be fair to single out any individual members of staff as they all go that extra mile to ensure that your stay is just as you want it to be. We have stayed in both one of the Cottages and one of the Superior VIP suites and found them both to be very comfortable and spacious with air conditioning in the bedroom and a ceiling fan in the lounge. We will return.
