Got married last weekend and stayed here for 4 nights. words cannot describe how brilliant it is here, me and my family 25 of us in total had a brilliant time and didn't want to come home. I would like to thank Stuart for making our stay so special and yeti (Alistar) who made us feel so welcome. we will definately be back so yeti get your team ready for flip the cup game :-) can't thank you all enough.

we just got back from my step daughters wedding after four days at the graham arms, we went as a large family,, we are all so sad be be home ...what a fantastic place, staff one and all are superb, they should be very proud of what theyve worked at there..soo much went wrong on her wedding day but this guy who runs the place should recive a gold medal for all he did to help... have talked of nothing else since we have been back..and will be going back... the small town has a lovley feel to it and the countryside needs no write up as is simply stunning... and carlisle is a bus ride away and is a great town with too many shops and a lot to see apart from that,,.longtownis a great base to go out and about by local transport....the locals are warm and freindly...my wife and famly are still crying about the wonderful time we had...food is wonerful...never had a better cheesecake.and the meals are beyond what we expected...stuart and staff thank you vey much...

Room Tip: rooms at back are quieter at night as on main road,

Stayed here with family and my dog last weekend as got married in Gretna Green, absolutely cracking atmosphere, locals really make you welcome and all the staff amazing. Owner was great, Stewart really looked after us and made it a special day with the extra touches. The staff really do make the difference, all were fantastic. Food excellent and wide choice of good home cooking. Rooms decorated and comfy. Basically nothing too much trouble. Really glad we married in Gretna and stayed here.
Many Thanks to all at the Graham Arms :)

My husband, 14 year old son and I spent the night here, very friendly welcome and the room was spacious and clean. All the staff were very friendly and the bar prices were really good. In the morning our cooked breakfast was perfect, well worth avoiding the hotels in the centre of Carlisle for. Would recommend.

We stayed over the Jubilee weekend, had a great time, nice large very clean room, ,food and service faultless, locals are a real bunch of characters who bounce of each other and the staff, loved the area so green and peaceful, great river walk to clear the head,Carlisle is a surprisingly busy and very historically city well worth a visit, go on the bus from outside the hotel they seem to run every hour, takes only ten minutes.
The food is very good with generous portions, all the rooms are on the first and second floors if you have mobility problems this is probably not for you although the stairs are wide and have two legs to get to each floor.

We spent one night here, just passing through. We were concerned about the noise from the bar - with England playing football. but once we were in our room we heard nothing. I really enjoyed my meal (chicken fajitas) and would recommend checking out the specials menu board. Its a good solid (not fancy) hotel.

Room Tip: To be sure of a peaceful night's sleep the higher rooms, away from the bar area are very quiet.
