Just returned from Aberdunant Country Park. We booked 2 caravans through Hoseasons for 6 adults, 3 children (1 x 6 years, 2 x 3 years) 1 baby, 1 dog and 1 puppy for a long weekend break. Our first time away as a family.
We asked if we could be close together - as we had booked 1 oak and 1 elm caravan, we thought they might not be able to accommodate our request. We were delilghted to discover at reception that they had reserved us 2 caravans in the walled garden area which was ideal for the kids - plenty of space for them to run around with no fear of cars once we had explained that they shouldn't go out of the area.
Although the caravans aren't brand new they were well equipped and spotless.
The park is so beautiful and because of the torrential rain over the last few days the waterfalls were amazing. The grounds were very well maintained and we didn't feel as if we were on a huge site. The children were fascinated by the streams and rivers of water crashing along by the side of most paths and roads.
On Sunday we celebrated a birthday and decided to eat at the Hotel. The carvery was excellent value for money and again lots of space for the children to run around and a lovely play area. The staff were very patient and helpful.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a peaceful break - no amusement arcades, loud music or entertainment, which suited us down to the ground.
