First of all, although I had booked a room 1 month ahead, I arrived at Zugdidi Hostel and - to my surprise - no one knew I was coming. I ended up staying in a double room which two other tourists had probably found inadequate and left to the town centre saying they would return (and they didn't).
Overlooking this 'minor' detail, the hostel is dirty and overpriced and the sheets in my room looked like they hadn't been changed for several weeks.
The guy managing this place is not a bad person, he is helpful and kind, but he should bear in mind that a clean and well kept place would attract more travellers (most of them interested to go further north to Upper Svaneti). In the end, hostels should not be synonyms to lower accommodation standards.
