The perfect recharge location for family, couple or individual. Spent four days at Tuko with wife, five kids & yaya. Rooms are western standard, clean and stocked. Meals satisfied vegetarian wife and American children ages 1-14. Activities to satisfy everyone, beach fun, snorkeling, hiking, or just laying back with a book. Service was impeccable from start to finish and all the details are thought of. Will be back next month... thanks Michaela!

Had the pleasure of staying there with my fiancé for 5 nights in March and the experience turned out to be just like all the reviews have previously stated.

From the moment we hopped on to the outrigger at Abra through to being welcomed by Michaela on the beach it felt like this was going to be not your normal getaway.

The location is perfect if you wish to be away from civilisation and is great for pure downtime whether it be sitting back having a read on the deckchairs overlooking the ocean, playing a good old game of darts or heading out at night to the beach out the front to watch the night sky in it's true unspoilt beauty.

For activities you can ask to do one of the local hikes/treks - we opted for the Kalong River walk which was very scenic and not too challenging and the final destination is worth the walk. Alternatively you can do snorkeling, kayaking or just go walkabout along the coast and discover the other beaches.

With a very big breakfast and dinner included as part of the price, you will find there is no real need for lunch and the personal attention by Michaela ensures that your gastronomical demands are taken care of. What we found to be a nice touch was the personalised dinner menus every night.

In closing, we cannot stop praising and recommending this stay to family and friends and the service of Michaela and her team is a testament to that.

We look forward to our next stay here within the next 12 months

Nesting on the green slope above a deserted beach lies this marvellous get-away. The owner knows how to make her guests feel welcome and at home. All meals were excellent and prepared with seasonal and regional ingredients. Make sure to bring a flashlight!

My stepfather and I ended our nearly 3-week trip through the Philippines in perfect style with a two-night stay at this idyllic, professionally run resort right on the turquoise-colored sea. The rooms at Tuko are modern, classy, tasteful, simple: a style that is not so easy to find elsewhere in the country. Michaela, the owner of the resort, is not only an outstanding chef who feeds you plentifully with an array of tasty island dishes, morning to night, but she and the entire staff create an atmosphere of relaxation, good humor, and the right balance of privacy mixed with conversation + personal connection. There are excellent scuba diving facilities at the resort - incredible reef life, abounding with fish, sits just a few yards off the beach in front of the rooms - with a great diving instructor named Paul who works with people at many different levels of diving. The gardens, lushness of the grounds, friendliness of the wait staff, and access to nearby beaches on a neat coastal trail, combine to make this the most pleasant - and affordable! - island resort stay I could imagine landing at... which I didn't want to leave. The best place to stay on the island of Mindoro, I recommend Tuko Beach Resort with two big thumbs up!!

Room Tip: We had a big spacious 1-bedroom apartment-style room looking right out on the water 50 feet below, w...

Our stay at Tuko Beach was a great experience. This was due to the great hospitality and friendliness of all of the staff at the resort and the beautiful surroundings in which it sits.
Like other reviewers we felt rejuvenated when we left which is what a holiday is about!
I especially liked how each accommodation was individual and blended into the surroundings. Anyone thinking about staying here won't be disappointed with how the rooms have been fitted out, tasteful with modern fittings.
If you just want family time like we did with our 2 year old then the nearby beaches are great, especially liked the beach few minute walk away with fishing boats, a great place to while away the afternoon. I would also recommend the activities the resort can organize like trekking and getting to see the beautiful local scenery.
Thank you to all of the staff at Tuko Beach for making it such a memorable vacation!!

If you prefer peace and quiet for your beach holiday, this is the place! We felt rejuvenated after our stay. It has it's own private beach with a coral reef that is great for diving and snorkeling. They have a dive instructor on site and a sea kayak. Since it's a bit remote, it had amazing stars and you can fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The food was absolutely terrific and Michaela really goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We stayed there for 5 nights with our 4 year old daughter and it was too short a time. Just loved it! Can't wait to return!!!
