“OK for one night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

I stayed here twice in July, 2012. Once with my two adult children, on the evening before flights out of Stockholm to Oslo in the morning, and again about two weeks later, before a flight back to the US.

The first stay was in a 'family room', which was a large room on the ground floor which had two twin beds and a sofa. I was annoyed that, for the money charged for a family room, we only had two beds. However, my son had just arrived on a long flight and declared the sofa just fine for a night, so I decided not to complain. But families, make sure you get enough beds if you book the family room!

The beds were narrow twin beds, and the curtains barely kept out the midsummer sunlight, but the bath was large and we had plenty of room for all our luggage. However, our room faced an auto repair shop with bright lights for security, so the ambiance of the hotel leaves something to be desired.

We all loved the sauna, and the adjacent shower facilities were spotless and had plenty of clean towels. Breakfast was fine, but Wifi is not free, which is a pet peeve for me. If you feel like it, you can walk a few kilometers to a shopping area for food and drinks; it was a pleasant walk on a trail just across the street from the hotel.

On my second stay, I was alone and given a room on the top floor. It was a much better room than the 'family room' on my first stay, and I again used the sauna to relax after a day's travels.
My wakeup call was on time, and again, the breakfast was a bit limited, but just fine for me, who doesn't eat much in the early morning anyway. I should also mention that the front desk staff was extremely courteous both times I checked in.

Shuttle service was prompt but you had to call the hotel from the airport; this was difficult for me due to no cell phone for Europe, but other travelers did us the kindness to call on our behalf.

Overall, for one night before a flight, a decent hotel.

This hotel may be convenient, but I am sure the others in the area have to be better. This hotel is stinky and gross, the only redeeming thing was a nice girl at reception, and a sauna in the basement. In addition, wi-fi is costly, the gym equiptment is from 1970, and the dinner in the restraunt was so crappy, we were really pissed off. Our vegetarian pasta dish was cheap noodles, watered down tomato paste, and slimy canned beans, for around 20 bucks a pop. Way better food on the airplane. The bathroom smelled so bad I showered in the open shower in the basement by the sauna.
We drove by Connect Hotel on the way to the airport in the AM, that looked nice.

Pros: Shuttle service from the Airport and to/from Train Station; nicely arranged room. Sauna with relaxing area, little forest just across the street. Staff was really friendly (but not at the early morning...somehow understandable:)

Cons:

Room to street side nearby the entrance (the shuttlebus, deliverers' vehicles, and smoking guests are really annoying, also with your window shut)

Breakfast: Although I got up very early to have a breakfast nearly nothing left.

Although the Shuttle to the Aiport on the next day was promised I had to rush to get a normal public bus. To get informed after own request 5mins prior to agreed pick up time that the shuttle is a normal bus which is not waiting is not very amusing.

WIFI not included

Me and my wife stayed one night before flying to NY. Good with free 10 min. shuttle to and from Arlanda. We got a large room with comfortable beds. We could not have the window open because people smoked just outside. They don´t seem to look after the rooms very much. The shower doors didn´t work, you had to stand on a chair to manually close the curtains. One electric socket was hanging loose on the wall.

They advertise "Wifi in the room" but then they charge 50 Skr. They have a small and nice restaurant with good prices and service. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel felt tired with small ambitions. I had not stayed at the hotel if I knew that they charged extra for Wifi.

This hotel is convenient if you have a late/early flight out of Stockholm. There is a free shuttle from the airport. The rooms are large but needs renovation. Wifi costs extra. Breakfast is a treat and the staff is very friendly.

Hotel is a free shuttle ride 15 minutes from Arlanda airport, not much at all to do or see nearby but I was only using it for a very short over night stop. Room was small, basic but clean. Tv had 5 channels. Breakfast was standard European affair with pastries, cereals as well as cold meats and cheese and hot food such as bacon, sausage etc etc. hotel had 24/7 sauna no one ever seemed to use it. not much else to say other than the hotel was basic but served its purpose.

I was just shoked how it can be possible in Sweden to have such a ugly and uncomfortable hotel. The room is extremly tiny, and even dont want to talk about shower, where you will simply not fit in, if you are not a dwarf or kid younger then 10 years. Old rooms, without any style, low standart. Without minibar, air-condition and kettle. Thanks god for WiFi. Only good thing on this hotel is the hotel staff. I would never go there on my own planed trip!

Room Tip: Better to find different hotel!!!!
