Very nice hotel situated handy to Arnhem town not as clean as Brussels golden tulip beds and room were rather dated there was mould around the bath but other than this quite acceptable for the two nights I stayed
The reception area,s were very nice and clean and the staff in the bar and restaurant were exceptionally good the service was excellent
I would use this hotel again as the staff were so good at what they were doing a real home from home

Room Tip: We had room 130 which looked out onto the lake which was very nice food and drinks good but quite e...

Travel for Americans through Europe can be difficult because of different cultural norms, and most of my complaints about this hotel stem from this issue.

However, there were some great points to this hotel. First, the bed was the best I've ever had at a European hotel. It was soft, and had nice linens. One of the best nights sleep I've had traveling, and I wasn't my own bed when I left.

Next, the internet was free and really fast. I could download movies, and play videos with no problems. I clocked the speed at over 8Mbps.

Finally, there alas a great selection of English language television channels and pay per view to relax with after a long day of sight seeing.

The staff did seem a little severe when it came to food and the restaurant, but I think that may be more about the culture than the hotel. We were warned not to take food away from breakfast room.

Overall a good experience and I would try the hotel and chain again.

Stayed three nights in November 2013. The public areas are spacious and clean but the location is not great - beside a nice lake but overlooking a highway junction that is busy late night and early morning, the noise was noticeable but not overly so.

The room was average sized with surprisingly comfortable twin beds - quite soft for a hotel. Bathroom was small but perfectly adequate but bizarrely the only soap dispenser was by the bath - nothing beside the washbasin which also lacked a workable stopper, so the water constantly flowed away.

Breakfast was pretty good, with a reasonably good choice including hot dishes. The restaurant is large and comfortable.

If you wanted to eat out, there is absolutely nothing around the hotel as the area seems to be almost totally residential with (I think) a large hospital nearby. A car is essential.

Overall, a reasonable business-type hotel but suitable for a short stay.

We stayed here when we visited the Kröller-Müller Museum. It was just what we wanted. Clean. Good front staff. Nice restaurant (we ate outside and enjoyed the little lake). Quiet.

If you are going to the museum you will need a car.

We stayed two nights on a battlefield tour with Leger Holidays. The hotel is modern and well maintained, the room was comfortable and the en-suite facilities first rate. The beakfast included bacon and scrambled egg which is unusual for the continent. There were also coffee and tea making facilities. The only down side is that as the hotel is well outside Arnhem centre and does not do evening meals you will need to get a taxi or bus into town.

I cannot give this restaurant more than four stars because the hotel itself looks like a senior citizens home from the 70's. Our rooms were simple and also hurled me into a time warp, so, if we had to go on the hotel alone: probably two stars. But then... the service was wonderful and the food was unexpectedly good. I had an assortment of starters that was very tasteful and excellent value for money, the main courses and desserts (Eton Mess!) were wonderful and the wine list was a surprise as well. So if you rank all hotels in the world this hotel would not merit the four stars, but given the price, the location, the service and the food, I think they deserve a little extra.
They called us afterwards because they had found children's glasses in the lobby and remembered that one of my girls wears spectacles. They were no hers, but still, very attentive.
Let's hope Golden Tulip will refurbish the hotel and thus give the personnel the opportunity to shine in the right environment.
