“Classy Place and Lovely Hostess”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Maeve Fitzgerald welcomed us like we had been long lost family. We had a lovely room and clean could not begin to describe the condition of everything. There was a sitting room on the floor with the guest rooms that included coffee, tea in the mornings. We also enjoyed the location, near the junction and across the way from McDermott's Pub. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute as guests at Churchfield B&B and will definitely stay there the next time we are in Doolin.

My wife and I chose Churchfield as our first lodgings for our recent trip to Ireland. We landed at Shannon, and travelled to Doolin, visiting a few places along the way. Maeve Fitzgerald was a wonderful hostess. Even though we arrived earlier than expected, our room was ready and she was very accomodating to our needs. As a veteran traveller to Ireland, I was very impressed with her hospitality and service. The room, ensuite, was very comfortable and the perfect place to decompress after a long flight from the United States. I would recommend Churchfield to anybody who is looking for a quiet, comfortable place to relax prior to starting your tour of Ireland. We spent two nights there and and used it as a base for our travels in County Clare. It was a great start to our vacation.

We were referred to the Churchfield B&B by Maurice, Quayside B&B in Dingle. It was an outstanding recommendation and we were very impressed with the Churchfield B&B, the comfortable rooms, sitting area, and its location. But most of all, we enjoyed Maeve Fitzgerald's company and her delicious breakfast. Maeve provided recommendations on the local pubs and had such a pleasant personality which made us feel so welcomed in her B&B. In addition, when we left Doolin, we returned to Shannon for our flight back to the USA the next day. I forgot my rain jacket, contacted Maeve who in turn mailed my jacket back to me. I was so impressed with her outstanding service. When I return to Ireland, I will make sure I spend time in Doolin, and the Churchfield B&B. Thank you Maeve for everything during our stay at your B&B. You're the best!

We spent 2 nights at Churchfield B&B in early March. We arrived a little earlier than expected and Maeve had our rooms ready and waiting. We had just spent about 15 hours on planes, in airports and driving from Shannon. We arrived in Doolin around 10 am. Maeve insisted we should rest a few hours before exploring the area. She already had our beds warming with heating blankets ( a very special touch). Maeve also made recommendations on things to see and helped us map out a route. Maeve would ask us the night before what time we would like breakfast the next morning and what we would like. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful.
Churchfield is in a great location. There are two pubs within walking distance. McDermotts across the street and McGanns less than a 2 minute walk down the road.
I would love to return to Doolin and would definitely stay at Churchfield B&B again.

My sister, father and I had the opportunity to stay at Churchfield B&B in early March, and can't wait to go back.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. There are several pubs within easy walking distance, and lots of attractions are just a short drive away.

Maeve was always available to answer our questions and help us out with suggestions and direction. She is the true spirit of Irish hospitality.

We always stay at Churchfield on our annual trips to Doolin. Great location, lovely breakfast and fabulous host - it's because of Maeve we always return. Usually go with friends or my partner but have stayed on my own and felt just as relaxed and welcomed. So much competition in the area and now hotels but she is usually full which is telling in itself.

Room Tip: Not re rooms but re eating - ask Maeve for info on where to have dinner in the area as the chefs/own...

We were referred to Churchfield by a B&B hostess in Galway and were very pleased. Lovely home and a short walk across the street from a great pub with good food and traditional music. Also convenient for ferry to Aran Islands. The combo island/Cliffs of Moher trip worth every penny. Would definitely stay here again.
