Myself and some friends stayed here last weekend as we were in need of a weekend away. This hotel was something amazing its beautifully decorated with luxurious bedrooms, delicious food and a great atmosphere in the hotel bar. Unfortunately, we didnt make breakfast either of the two mornings as we had two very late nights so cannot comment on that.

Check in was very efficient. The receptionist on duty could not have been more friendly or helpful and was young herself so advised us on the best nightlife around Doolin which made for a great night!!

The rooms very spotless and very comfortable. We had dinner in the hotels restaraunt our first night which was wonderful. We were greated by the very pleasant watress and the service we recieved throughout the meal was spot on and the food was just out of this world.

We could not find a fault with this hotel even if we tried and will definately be returning for a girls weekend away during the summer.

“Gem of a hotel”

Was visiting this area for all its wonderful sites and came by this hotel. Doolin is a small town on the coast and this hotel is centrally located. The hotel is really modern and well decorated but it is really the staff that make the stay enjoyable. The life of the Hotel seems to be fitzpatricks bar where the staff are extremely friendly and helpful the kind of hospitality you associate with ireland but is not all that commonplace. The food is really good and the traditional music at night time is reason alone to visit this area. The bit of advise I would give is to eat dinner before 8pm as the bar gets quite busy and seats near the music are at a premium.

The rooms are overpriced to say the least. There is no pool, no gym, no internet access (if there was they would be charging more) The place has apparently been open since August last year, they are still going through basic teething problems that should have been solved within the first weeks not still there 9 months later. The hotel phone system does not work properly, all phones seem to constantly flash the new voicemail light!

The reception area is poorly laid out, when entering you are playing peek-a-boo wit the receptionist because there's a great pillar in the middle so you're not sure which side to go to. The receptionist seems to pop up like a jack in the box from a small stool behind the desk.

The flags outside are unfit to be rags, yet at the beginning of the season no one has changed them yet. Some of the staff are helpful, but the overall feeling is that this place is there to take as much money out of your wallet for the least effort.

Credit must go to the housekeeping staff for keeping the rooms so fresh and clean.

Having stayed in Doolin before a few years ago, this time round was very different. This new hotel adds alot to doolin village and the hotel itself is a treat. Though i was sceptical that it is a very quiet time of the year in Doolin the atmosphere in Fitzs Bar and throughout the hotel was very warm with a great buzz about the place. I really enjoyed my stay here and i am hitting back there in the summer. Highly reccomended. Love Doolin even more now.

We stayed at this hotel for Paddys weekend and loved it. Having spent other weekends in Doolin in Self Catering accomodation it was such a treat to stay in this hotel. The hotel is spotless and the decor is really funky/modern. All that is missing in this hotel is a spa. The staff were great too and extremely friendly.

The bar serves amazing food but i found it lacked atmosphere compared to the other bars in Doolin. O' Connors is pretty tough competition.

The only downside to it was it was very cold in the restaurant and walking around the hotel. Doolin was very cold though at the weekend.

I will definitly be staying at this hotel again and recommending it to anyone I know travelling to the west.
