The Roadford House is a clean, bright, cozy little B&B right in Doolin. The owners, Marian and Frank, are so sweet. Our room was a great size, with nice linens and a very nice bathroom. It's a very quick walk to the 2 pubs, but a longer walker--about 15 minutes, to O'Connor's pub, which is probably the best in town. One of the nicest things about this B&B, at least for this foodie, was the food! Great breakfast each morning in the sunny restaurant. Our one dinner here was one of the best we had in Ireland. Frank is an amazing cook and I think the restaurant is one of the hidden gems of Ireland. Too new to be in many of the guide books!

We stayed here in mid-March. The room was very comfortable and Marian was a great host. The rooms sit above the Restaurant, and were clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the restaurant the next morning was excellent, and Marian's dog Beans was great (he even opened the door to to our room for us!

Anyway - this B&B is a short walk to McDermott's and McGann's - but probably too far to walk to O'Connor's.

We found this to be one of the best deals we found in Ireland - very comfortable at a great price. We talked with a few folks at McGanns who paid as much (or more) than we did, and did not have an equivalent experience.

“Great Value”

Good hotel on edge of Doolin but still walkable to McDermott's pub.

Very clean with an excellent breakfast. While Accomdations are not top notch for the price it has hard to beat.

“Great place to stay in the Burren”

The Roadford House was a clean, simple place on the edge of Doolin. We enjoyed our stay very much-- good shower and bed, nice view, friendly owners, and a fantastic breakfast. Since it was mid-December we were the only people staying there, but at breakfast they had the room all cheery and warm with a fire, and I had a lovely breakfast of local cheeses and fruits, organic yogurt and musli, and fresh bread, while my husband had a more traditional (yet not greasy) breakfast. We walked to the music pub down near the water, about a 20 minute lovely walk through the village. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Roadford House this October. Marian was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, spacious and stylish. Their dog and 2 cats were delightful, too. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Lovely views, and you can easily walk to the pubs, which have great trad even during the off season. We had a great time and I would highly recommend Roadford House to anyone who wants to stay in Doolin (Cliffs of Moher very close, great music, food, Burren National Park all closeby).

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — Marian's hospitality, our darling room and the views!!
    • Disliked — Another guest was a bit noisy one night but that is not Marian's fault.
