“Fabulous place in Doolin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

A wonderful boutique bed and breakfast in Dooliin County Clare. Wonderful hospitality from Dara and Niall right from our arrival. Our room was so beautifully furnished and I can endorse again how comfortable the bed was. Great views over towards the saw and of the local village. Perfect location from which to explore this magical part of Ireland. Breakfast was so amazing. All home made produce and presentation first class . Can't wait till our next trip and our return to Sea View House.

Room Tip: View from room 2just perfect lovely sunny outlook.

Excellent stay! Room 2 has the most comfortable bed in Ireland. Its 2 corner windows on the 2nd story bring a delightful breeze from the surrounding cliffs. The panoramic view provides a complete Doolin vista. My only regret is staying just 1 night. There is plenty to occupy your time and the village is a quiet retreat from larger towns. Stay 2 nights if you can. Thanks to Niall, I can only have oatmeal with Bailey’s atop of it. Do not hesitate to book here – it’s a gem of a place.

The best breakfast I had my entire trip in Ireland. Darra was so kind and really helped us navigate our way around! She even drove us to the pier in the morning so we could take a ferry to the Aran Islands. Their hospitality and kindness was truly memorable and very much appreciated. Sea View House is the best B&B I have ever stayed at hands down. The bed was really comfortable and the rooms were very well kept. Thanks Darra and Niall!!

We stayed for two days at Sea View House (May 25th&26th).We took the coastal drive from Shannon airport to Doolin going through Liscannor and past the awesome Cliffs of Moher. The drive into Doolin gives you a fantastic view of the Aran Islands and Galway Bay.Sea View House is perched on a corner overlooking Fisher St,where you can see Gus O'Connors pub(great food) and the gift shops. Our room was absolutely spotless, as was the rest of Sea View. Niall greeted us and showed us to our room and around the house. There was a list of choices for breakfast which you choose and leave in reception the night before as the food is cooked from fresh and ingredients are sourced locally.Breakfast is served at one table and is a communal affair ! This proved a good opportunity to meet visitors from other parts of the world,in our case, from the USA.The breakfast was great and we all shared travel hints and tips which was most helpful ! This property is exceptional on so many levels. The hosts are fantastic, the location is second to none, the food was amazing and we wouldn't hesitate to go back and thoroughly recommend to other travellers visiting this area. The Cliffs of Moher are just a short drive away,as is the harbour where you can hop on boat trips to the Aran Islands and to see the Cliffs from a sea view. All in all, highly recommended and we will be back !

Room Tip: We chose the double sea view room which overlooked the field opposite and the row of shops.

We stayed in Doolin for just 1 night and Sea View House was wonderful. Niall and Darra are great hosts. Darra was such a help and simply charming! The house is beautiful, breakfast was fantastic and it is in great location. They travel in the off season and you can see it in their home and how they treat their guests...warm and welcoming. We did not stay long enough and we definitely will be back to Doolin and Sea View House! A high rating well deserved!

We were fortunate to be able to stay at the Sea View House. Darra and her husband here so helpful and friendly. As soon as I walked into the room, I could see the details that were in this room. We had water and tea available, a wonderful shower with bath products, great towels and the most comfortable bed/comforter. Honestly I didn't want to get up! Darra was helpful in getting us a discount rate for the cliffs boat trip, which we really appreciated. I loved the location of this bed and breakfast and have decided after about 15 years of traveling, that location is one of the most important things and the Sea View has this! Not only do they have an amazing view of the ocean from their home and outdoor area, you can walk down the hill and be in Doolin and shop and go to the pubs. What can I say other than I really want to go back!

Room Tip: Ask for ocean view

Darra is an absolute joy! She and her husband have tons of information on the area, including the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, etc. The Sea View House is just across the hill / street from O'Connor's Pub (which we thoroughly enjoyed). Darra made us feel so welcome!
