“superb, authentic, scenic, hospitable accomodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2010

we came for a ten week respite to enjoy the Irish coast, the countryside and the traditional music. We were thrilled with our experience.
It was a very peaceful setting and we were cared for magnificently by the hosts, TJ and Cora. They were absolutely wonderful Irish ambassadors.
Our accomodations were so charming and excellently appointed, we were looking for authentic Irish cottage decor and felt totally pleased with what awaited us.
TJ gave us a long call in Canada to tell us all about the accomodation, then he waited 2 hours at the airport for us, was absolutely concerned about our every need and to be helpful with anything Irish from bus travel to the procuring of coal for the fireplace to tips about manoeuvering around Dublin. - Ireland has friendly welcoming people and outstanding food, We were most impressed and can't wait to return!

My family and a couple of friends stayed at Atlantic View Cottages in October and had a great time. It was very clean with great views and very quiet. It was also centrally located to what we wanted to do. It included all amenities and TJ and Cora were very hospitable and helpful. The cottage was roomy and very affordable. We would definitely recommend it. Robin

I would highly recommend the cottages. When we arrived in Ireland we realized we had not budgeted enough for B& B's and food. We were able to rent this cottage and save money on accomodations and make our own food. As a bonus we had our own laundry, lots of space, and a wonderful view. We made the cottage home base and were able to travel to wonderful sites around the area and still go back to the comforts of home. I would highly recommend the cottages to anyone traveling to Ireland. Very homey, clean, and nice!

We had a great week staying in the cottage #5. Warm welcome by the owner. Spacious cottage (although it's for 6 and we were with 3). Fully equipped. Beautiful setting, with great sunset over the Atlantic. Lots to see in and around Doolin, if you like cliffs, hikes, beaches and a refreshing sea to swim in. There's even a dolphin to swim with for the lucky ones!

Atlantic View Cottages sit toward the top of a hill in Doolin, County Clare. The view is absolutely wonderful with the ocean and the amazing landscape. The cottages themselves are very cozy and extremely clean with anywhere from 1-3 bedrooms, a living area with hearth, 1 or 2 baths, and kitchen.
This is definitely the way to visit Ireland, much less costly than doing B&B's, and very homey with a small grocery store at the top of the hill for necessities.
As far as sightseeing, you can't do much better since the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, and the Burren are all minutes away. The village of Doolin is very picturesque and somewhat of a music capital. The 4 village pubs feature local musicians every night of the week. All ages attend. One evening I saw a toddler playing one of the musician's tambourines to help with the tune.
T.J., the owner, is very gracious and a wonderful host. My family and I have stayed at the cottages twice now, and plan to stay there each time we visit Ireland.

Our cottage was splendid in every way possible. It was very well appointed and clean.
The most important thing that happened to us was a prompt email message delivered to us by the proprietor, that our daughter had had emergency surgery. As it turned out all was well, but that great act of kindness meant the world to us.
I would recommend this place to anyone who visits Ireland.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the cottage just outside of Doolin. It was a perfect place to visit Western Ireland to include the Clifs of Moher, Aran Islands, Galway and other attractions. TJ Kerins and his wife Cora keep the cottages in first class condition. Everything was in perfect order and spotless. Our cottage had 3 bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds. One en suite bathroom and another full bath on the ground floor. The views from the house are right out of the movies. After spending an evening in Doolin listening to great Irish music at one of the many pubs you can come back to the cottage and light the fire place and enjoy a glass of wine.
I took my computer and was able to get WiFi in Doolin. There is no ATM in Doolin, but within a few KM there are towns that have ATM's. This was our 10th trip to Ireland, but first time to the Western Coast. We found the Western Coast the most beautiful part of Ireland. Highly recommend the Atlantic View Cottages!
