“Amazing breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

We had read about this place and their legendary breakfasts on Tripadvisor so sought it out. It's slightly out of the town and looks fairly ordinary outside. It was full and we had to wait quite a while for a table but it was well worth it. Two of us had the great breakfast and one had the pancakes with fried banana and pancetta. All faultless! Loads of lovely toast too, both soda bread and a really good fruit bread with cherries.

“Great Food in a lovely area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

I ate both lunch and dinner at the cafe as the food was presented well and easy on the taste buds. Dinner was a pleasant surprise with the chose of foods to select. But best of all was the desserts on offer. Good value for money food in a lovely setting with helpful staff.

“A must-do in Doolin!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012 via mobile

Have eaten at the Doolin cafe twice and both times the food, service and atmosphere were top notch at amazingly reasonable prices: a five course meal with options including scallops and (enormous) steaks for E35? You don't see value like this elsewhere in the area!
The decor is a cute mixture of traditional and quirky, love the plant wandering across the ceiling and the beautiful local landscapes.
The menu is concise but offers plenty of choices, including interesting vegetarian options.
The service is attentive and friendly, our waitress on both evenings was genuinely pleasant without being at all intrusive.
We appreciated having a few minutes break between courses as the sheer volume of food could have been overwhelming had the courses arrived closer together!
The homemade breads are great, particularly the walnut bread, yum!
Try the trio of banoffee, the one with passion fruit cream is amazing :)
The Doolin cafe is a lovely spot for a low key birthday celebration or a special night out, I work in the area and have heard great things about the all day breakfasts so must try that next time! The late bird menu til midnight is an unusual idea too.
If you enjoy good quality ingredients prepared with skill and imagination you'll love the Doolin cafe, try it!

“The best cafe + breakfast I have ever visited”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Wow, that is all I can say. An alternative twist on the full Irish breakfast. Very welly presented and so tasted with luxurious meat. I had the breakky muffin and it was top notch. Also try some of their breakfast with a twist items..... Fried banana yum!!!!!!
