“Great food and music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

Classic Irish pub experience. The band we heard the night we were there was outstanding - 6-8 musicians depending on who was playing/singing at the time. Excellent musicianship with a nice variety of tunes. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, including the best fish and chips we had on our trip. The beef stew was also excellent. Wonderful experience.

“Great music, beer and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

Very cozy and authentic Irish pub with a vast array of beers and one of the most energetic musicians I've seen yet in Ireland - I found out his secret to playing the guitar so rapidly - he was drinking coffee instead of beer!

“Great Music!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

This pub is legend!! Do Not miss it if you are in Doolin. Parking is right over the bridge and every band we heard was fantastic.
The guys behind the bar work very hard to limit your wait for beer.
Just a great place.

“Within walking distance, balanced impression”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

Within walking distance from Doolin's recommendable Blackberry Lodge B & B.
Had simple good fresh fish and chips at McGann's and felt for a change not ripped off.
Order at the bar and get served to the table. Good pub atmosphere.
In general in Ireland in 2014, prices for food and accommodation are mostly still 20% higher than desired by tourists. Furthermore, as too many Irish establishments boost their ratings to undeserved fabulous and superb; read their poor ratings too and relativise before booking. Quality, service and friendliness are not 20% better than elsewhere and for the natural beauty you pay dearly by left hand driving on bumpy, narrow, hazardous roads.

“nice bar food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

Nice bar food, certainly the fresh fish and chips or Irish beef burger. Homemade tartar sauce with the fish!
